I wrote this after watching a romantic drama and suddenly imagining myself standing on a street in Edinburgh in the pouring rain. It hit me that I haven’t had a crush in a really long time (like two and a half years), and the feeling was… kind of hollow? So instead of letting that emptiness sit there, I imagined the most romantic and aesthetic story possible in my mind — and this song came out. It’s not about anyone real, just a moment I wished I could feel again.
