Lyrically this song is about a girl who screwed me over and the mental damage she caused. These things can drive you to some wildly violent thoughts that you have to suppress in order to be the bigger person. I wrote & released a version of this song almost 2 decades ago with very limited equipment and minimal production experience. Now that I have the right tools, I've spent over 2 years doubling down on learning to properly produce music myself and I’ve revamped my song in order to bring it back. As Muse is one of my favorite bands, I decided to record this acoustic cover of their song 'Dead Star' a few years ago. 

This isn't Muse most popular song but it doesn't make it any less a very good song and one of my favorites.

As I'm also a huge fan of Linkin Park, I wanted it to sound as if it had been sung by Matthew Bellamy in duet with Chester Bennington mixing sung vocal parts in the manner of Matt with screams as only Chester held the secret.

I recorded it for fun and I didn't plan to release it someday but as I had a good time listening to it after I had come across it recently, I thought it could make someone else having a good time in these dark days.

Comme Muse est l'un de mes groupes préférés, j'ai décidé d'enregistrer cette reprise acoustique de leur chanson 'Dead Star' il y a quelques années.

Ce n'est pas la chanson la plus populaire de Muse mais cela n'en fait pas moins une très bonne chanson et une de mes favorites.

Étant aussi un grand fan de Linkin Park, je voulais que la cover sonne comme si elle avait été chantée par Matthew Bellamy en duo avec Chester Bennington mélangeant des parties vocales chantées à la manière de Matt avec des cris dont seul Chester avait le secret.

Je l'ai enregistré pour m'amuser et n'avais pas prévu de la sortir un jour mais comme j'ai passé un bon moment en l'écoutant après être (re)tombé dessus récemment, j'ai pensé qu'elle pourrait faire passer un bon moment à quelqu'un d'autre en ces jours sombres.
