"This album is about the tragedy. I cannot articulate more clearly what its meaning is. 
The bitterness of loss, an existential crisis and many failures that followed one after another. But the finale was the ashes lying on the ruins of my home. 
Since February 24, 2022, the war that Russia brought to our country has claimed a huge number of lives of Ukrainian citizens and destroyed many cities. 
My dear Mariupol is on this list. I never thought that I would love him as much as after February 24th. 
The first track of this EP was written in the fall of 2020. Each piece of music was written in different periods of time, in great creative agony. 
In this release, only the emotions that I have been trying to throw out in the form of music for so long."

Where Have Our Cranes Gone?

I wrote "Clear" using the piano, gender (a Balinese/Javanese metallophone instrument), and bass from the #Casio PX-S3100 Stage Piano. The strings are from #SpitfireAudio. The reverb is the new Galactic Reverb from #CherryAudio.

Recently my wife had her one year scan for cancer following surgery last year; she got an "all clear"! We are grateful to God. Hold your loved ones close!

This piece is centered around the concept of death. It was my hope to show two different perspectives, one being that of someone’s life ending, the other, that of the people who are left behind and forced to come to terms with the implications of loss. It addresses fear, hopelessness, acceptance and culminates in voices, tumbling over each other in conflicting thought, unable to entirely process the consequences of loss. They ask for purpose, for reasoning, for a way of comprehending. They reflect on loneliness, scream for help, and recite the stages of grief, over and over again.
“Help Me., Do we return to the ocean when we die?, This is the moment in which we are truly alone., I feel numb., I don’t understand., What we owe to each other is kindness., Back to the beginning., Why?, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance., When is it time to go?, We wanna go home.” and finally: “Let it end.”
With this piece, I long to find understanding for and express a situation I cannot entirely grasp, as well as create a space of solidarity and kindness, to comprehend something we are forced to confront at some point throughout life.
