8Trak - Craigyhill Festival of Culture 2023

Craigyhill Festival of Culture & home of the largest bonfire in the world is a 2 day festival in the Craigyhill Estate in Larne, N. Ireland. 10th - 11th July hosted by Jilted Events & The Craigyhill Bonfire Committee.

With stalls, funfair rides, bouncy castles, rodeo bull, kids bonfire, fireworks display & much much more. 
The main event on the 11th includes live music from Fusion, local talented singer Karlee McBride and local DJs plus headliners Scot Project & Sam Jones.

Estimated 35k - 40k people attended the festival and it was completely free to all.

Massive shout out to all involved inc Ian Mac, Alan Ginge Hall, The Craigyhill Bonfire Committee and of course everyone who raved until the early hours. Quite simply incredible from everyone! 🫶🏻

Multi-genre music producer, DJ and promoter from NI.

Ben started dj'ing in 1999 and as he was living in Colchester he started handing out demo tapes to as many of the London promoters as he could. His lucky break came in 2000 when he secured his first gig closing the second room at Elation, an all nighter in Vauxhall. Slowly but surely the gigs started coming in; Coventry, Birmingham, Colchester and eventually a residency in Manchester at Elysium. Ben was booked for FutureVibe, Vibealite and started his own night in Colchester called Excite before moving home to NI. Ben was also hosting a weekly 2hr show on London Live and Direct, a pirate radio station and when it was shut down he moved onto livestreaming.

In NI, Ben and his wife (ex), started Born to Dance in Bangor - a dedicated Happy hardcore event. After nearly a year they started System X in Dungannon and as the scene was growing exponentially they were asked to move to the mighty Trax in Portrush. Ben was working heavily with Scottish promoters and dj's and was fortunate to get sets at Fantazia. Ben had been booked for Planet Love and eventually hosted an arena there.

Ben was also producing music and had 1 remix signed to Evolution Records and a record on Executive Records.

Ben put his music career on hold to pursue a career in aviation after moving to Scotland but it wasn't long before he was asked by Ultimate Buzz to join the band. He produced 2 songs for Ultimate Buzz, one of them with Kevin Murphy. 


Ben is now known as 8Trak and has 5 releases, with another 5 waiting in the pipeline. Their events are held in Portrush and Newry. 

Ben loves using vinyl, especially on 3 dex but as his tunes are on mp3 he is adept at switching between the 2 platforms.

KrisP is a multi-genre DJ/Producer in electronic dance music, with focus primarily in the Trance genre. Based in Northern Ireland, KrisP has produced many popular reworks, bringing his own unique style to classic tracks. Recently KrisP has been targeting labels, with a number of his own creations now available for purchase.

Under the alias of SirK, KrisP started on his DJing journey at the age of 15, with a set of Numark belt drive turntables, and a mixer that was as basic as they come. 
A wise man once said, "If you can beatmatch on belt drives, you can beatmatch on anything."

KrisP went on to run a regular club night at an 'infamous' local bar, alongside Jason B, until it's unfortunate closure in 2014.

Fast forward to 2020, and KrisP decided to get back on the scene, developing both the DJ and production aspects of his skillset. 

Since the beginning of 2022, KrisP has been hosting his own radio show on Ice Radio Dublin. The Push The Tempo (PTT) brand was established in early 2021 as a genre agnostic brand and has grown from strength-to-strength, inclusive of DJs of all musical tastes and backgrounds. PTT radio showcases some of the best multi-genre talent via a one hour guestmix at the end of each show.
