Auscultation of the Heart is the second album by Dallas band Pleasant Grove. This is the "lost record" released between the debut self-titled EP (Last Beat) and The Art of Leaving (Badman). It was originally released on CD by Glitterhouse Records in 2002. The album never made it onto the streaming platforms and has been very difficult to get. Marcus Striplin one of Pleasant Grove's two lead singers jokes that "[He] can't even get a copy of the record". If you are lucky to find this record on Amazon or Ebay then you will have found a lost treasure of the early oughts. Auscultation of the Heart is a masterpiece. It is easily one of the best forgotten records in the last 20 years.

The song "Dance with Me", began with the scribbled title of "The Dragonfly Dance", as I summarized my perspective view of my bizarre & unlikely supernatural like encounter with hundreds of dragonflies during one of the worst days of my life. That worst day, thankfully, became my best day in my memory.
I wrote and composed this song, to capture that memorable moment.  
Individual dragonflies gathered around me and then synchronized into a dancing swarm around me. 
Individual dragonflies within the collective swarm, would take turns alighting upon me are represented with a personality & voice.
 A memory that gives me the fortitude, to choose to live a happier life.
Let go of stress and worry, for even just a little while, to let your spirit dance and be free.
