Brent Atwood is a Nashville recording artist living in Little River, SC. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter and CCMA award winner. As the owner and frontman for the Southern Country Outlaws, he has found new life in music.  Over the last 5 years, they have rocked the Grand Strand with country music done like no other. They are hailed as one of the fastest-growing most listened-to country/southern rock bands in the Carolinas. The Southern Country Outlaws have found their way into the hearts of country and rock fans alike. They’ve captivated fans from around the world, nobody rocks country like the Outlaws.

Madam Datam. Die alte Dame hält sich noch ganz gut. Sie rumpelt, schnauft und stöhnt bei jeder Bewegung. In ihrem inzwischen etwas abgewetzten Mantel aus angelaufenen Kupferblechen wirkt sie wie ein Relikt, eine Lebensform aus längst vergangener Zeit, die es nie gegeben hat. Seit 2014 erzeugen fünf Musiker aus Kiel und Hamburg den rohen Klang von Madam Datam, der über verschiedene Grenzen vom Folk über Polka bis zum rumpeligen Punk lärmt. Madam Datam klingt nach der grossen weiten Welt, die in ihren Augen keine Scheibe, sondern ein leicht verbeulter Müllcontainer ist.

Southern Ontario songwriter Barry James Payne is the architect of String Bone, the artistic vehicle for his solo songwriting. In the new release ‘Wow! Oh Yeah!’, Payne explodes into electric grunge & funk guitars, screaming Wow! Oh Yeahs, while a female chorus urges hope, amidst his nonchalant testimony of the times we are living in with a sarcastic Bukowski-like narrative going for the jugular of the world’s leaders who continue to do little despite the seeming urgency of our approaching doom. 

The song culminates in a frenzied chaotic finish in a heaping hot mess, before which Payne wonders what could happen if we looked at the world a little differently, claiming that things probably won’t change, but they could. They have to. There is hope. There is always hope. With backing vocals by Ariel Ryder of Chicago, IL, USA, Lea Keeley of Montreal, QC and Anaïs Ysabel of Waterloo, ON.

Folk-Americana artist String Bone, has been stepping into the fray beyond the edges of his genre envelope as of late. Whether it be exploring Drum & Bass with collaborator Nathan McKay on 2020’s ‘Two Stars Collide’s’ series of mixes, or getting stomping dark and electric in his more recent collaboration with Las Vegas Producer, George Leger III on the mercurial ‘Waitin’ For My Dyin’ Day’, he has kept the reins still somewhat close to that Folk-Americana bucket. Until now. Wow! Oh Yeah! is a mash-up of grunge, funk, Americana, Folk, rock, disco, spoken word, R&B/soul and gospel coherently woven together by Payne & Leger to create a bombastic, uptempo, fun, sarcastic, yet reflective anthem for the ages. If it doesn’t make you chuckle, it’ll make you cry. Or at least think about the planet's future.

A self-proclaimed bedroom artist, Martin Purvis started by singing jazz standards at a community centre around the age of 10 years old. Picking up his first acoustic guitar around the age of 18, he began writing his own songs in the bathroom while sitting in the dark (the first of these being on his debut album Dust), often accompanied by a bottle of whisky of course.

Growing up, Martin was brought up with the likes of Tom Waits, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra being played on the radio. These great artists were very influential and were perhaps the reason why he started in the first place at all.

All of his recordings so far have been made entirely within the confines of his bedroom, from inception to release. You’ll find a mix of swing, folk as well as easy listening genres by this artist. Close to Me was the latest song which had an accompanying music video released on YouTube.

His latest release is God's Broken Son and is accompanied with a music video for you all to enjoy!

Winterbone is doom country, death roots, post-apocalyptic americana and alternative folk blues.. A 21st Century Digital vagabond settled into the hills of Northumberland.
Winterbone is a traveller, poet, musician, painting music with the colours of the world. Winterbone went hither and thither across deserts and rocks, over wide savannah and red dirt.. across misty moors, dry creeks, raging rivers and gaping holes. Lived in trees alive and dead, walked and talked with the spirits of ancestors. Winterbone listened to the old ones.  He is pointing the Bone at the destroyers of Souls. Dark, droning, twanging, mournful music dedicated to the beating breath of the Mother Earth.

Tycho Mono played two extremely successful shows before the first lockdown and are otherwise fresh and raring to go when the industry fully reopens in 2022. Note- the tracks here are self recorded demos, the final versions will be recorded by a noted producer and compiled into a series of EPs. Covid has restricted final development and completion so in the meantime we are just uploading demos to get some early feedback.

I started writing songs a couple years ago and they have been coming steadily ever since. It's not my place to judge how good they are, but I like them and they are honest, personal and from the heart. I hope they speak to someone who decides to listen. I try to spend some time most days listening to other creators and I’m finding some great stuff! As independent creators, we are in this together. If you listen to mine, I will listen to yours. While my music mostly stays in the vein of Americana, I love all styles of music. If it has honest lyrics and a groove, you can count me in, so feel free to point me towards your songs if I haven’t found them already.

I should also mention that I have found the BEST producer / instrumentalist in Robert Ruby. He took simple cowboy chord songs and turned them into what you hear.

Through the vulnerable expression of raw and candid emotion, Cosmic River (the creative vehicle for Metis singer-songwriter Eric Lavoie) creates music from the depths of the soul with hopes of dissolving the listener’s ego and influencing positive social change. Beginning as a duo and eventually maturing into a solo project, Cosmic River’s sound has gradually evolved from down-to-earth blues and psychedelic infused folk music into a blend of traditional folk and outlaw country that focuses on acoustic fingerpicking and a storytelling narrative that has a stripped back and raw feel. Through lyrics written in a beautifully simplistic manner, Cosmic River intends on connecting to the listener on a personal level via songs that emerged from a place of pure authenticity and reflect the most sobering aspects of the human condition.  

The Winnipeg native is hard at work and plans on releasing his debut single in summer of 2022.
