Franksen goes way back in the history of Frankfurt's electronic scene. Having hosted, booked  and deejayed Germany's eldest weekly radio DJ Show, YOU FM Clubnight (simply known as CLUBNIGHT) for its longest time. Sharing decks with each and everyone from Jamie Jones to Loco Dice or from Mousse T. to Dixon, he represented housemusic and electronic club culture 360° for + 15 years. 
As a dj, producer, radio and music-journalist he boasts versatile skills. all of which nurture his search for the endless groove. Electronic music’s culture in between Deephouse, Dub, Downtempo, Electronica and Breakbeat s of various tempi is on his soundtraveller menu – everything goes, really!
Since 2009 Franksen released on Bar25 Music, Houseworxx, Smile For A While, Poets Club Records and many more. In 2022 he established his label TRACK ALLIANCE. Serving electronic styles from house to downtempo, Franksen shares diverse grooves on TRACK ALLIANCE, that are more than club tools. They are: style allies, vibe partners, timeless companions. Doing their magic in variable tempos. TRACK ALLIANCE focuses on the space in between. Roots, heritage lines, sound paths - groove! 
For the 82nd edition of our OUTRO PODCAST he tells the tale of breakbeat sounds – from reniniscences of ambient breaks prevailing with acts like Orbital in the early 90s, via 2000s broken fusion sounds, to jazzy vibes From dubtechno tracks with a breakbeat tinge, to slick and atmospheric  2steppers and organic, percussive breaks. Flow and dynamic are densely light here or cinematically dramatic - making for a beautiful picture alongside the video shot by OUTRO mastermind Dom Waits. Enjoy!

Franksen about Frankfurt at night:
The busy, hectic metroplitan meltin' pot that is Frankfurt -
seems to be a super sleepy city rather early at night.
After the midnight hour, in many places, u almost own this city to yourself.
Like we did for this video, u can walk on most of the streets avoiding any traffic or human contact.
Nothing happening there, uh? Nope, beware, this is where the beauty lies...
whereas FFM by day is a stuffed concrete box full of so many people,
the historic buildings, the architecture and art, the busy streets, the river Main -
it all gets the chance to calm down, becoming visible in the foreground beautifully.
The city scape is way more than a wallpaper for the human hustle and bustle that is core to Frankfurt.
A stroll through FFM at night sets u in a different perspective vibing off of this edgy metropole,
that is huge and small at the same time. To add sound to that is always a big pleasure.

MULIK is one of the pioneers of Tech House in Germany. A long-time residency in world  famous and legendary club "Dorian Gray" at Frankfurt airport, gigs around the globe from Africa to Asia and back to Europe, festivals such as "Love Parade"  in Berlin, "Street Parade" in  Zurich and "World Club Dome" in Frankfurt, Frankfurt's famous DJ radio of the 90s "HR3 Clubnight" or his contribution to the Dorian Gray CD eternalize his work in the squad of DJs. A continuous list of projects and tracks has been released throughout the years including media control charting remixes and his first album "The DNS Biscuits" which appeared in new disguise "MULIK" on Swedish Label Dansant distribution Sony. Now a new chapter begins with "Anti Ego Music".  Fresh tunes are on their way...
