Joujouka (DJ Tsuyoshi & Funky Gong) are back on Matsuri! 

Their first single having appeared on London-based Matsuri Productions way back in 1999, they are back with a fresh release in their true fusion style, blending classic rock sounds with strong elements of psychedelic techno trance. “Filter Rock” was played by DJ Tsuyoshi at this year’s European festivals and in Israel to overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback. This release features the original mix alongside remixes by both newer and long-established electronica artists. Eat Static’s wildly psychedelic and otherworldly driven remix is followed by Atmos’ more textured and hypnotic progressive version; Nu Goa artist Skizologic gives us a bouncy and highly analog mix, while the legendary System 7 fuses the elements of Joujouka’s original with rock, German trance, and a strong rhythm, before the final version by Yuta & Asteroidnos, with a more tribal and dissonant yet mysterious atmosphere. Six amazing versions of one incredible track!

im playing various styles like ambient, house psytrance, breakbeat, techno, acid and dub i stil play with vinyl because i love it. 

i played for organisations like Psy-fi festival 4 hour chill sets  zirk, trance orient express,future reggae ruigoord, back-a-wall movement, legalize and gave parties at the catacombstudios, repetitiehuis, manifesto, the famous draverijparties (medemblik,),

Hjärngymnastik is a cratedigger project which aims to dig up and play electronic music released prior to the year 2000.  Styles such as Detroit Techno, IDM, Acid, Electro, Ambient, Bleep, Breakbeat, Jungle, New Beat, Deep House and many neighbouring styles will be heard in these sets.

Each sunday I'll be posting an hour of my selections. Some episodes will include guest mixes from excellent contributors - DJs, producers, record collectors and music enthusiasts. Within the same episode, the guest mix will be heard first followed by mine. A random drawing of brains conducting some kind of suspicious activity will of course accompany the set.

Let me know if you'd be interested in participating. There's always room for guests who can contribute with knowledge and interesting selections.
