I made this edit in like 2019, fast forward 5 years and I realized soundcloud won't let me upload my Mac Miller Remix here (you can still listen on bandcamp) so I got to work right away on digging this edit idea back up, making a 2nd drop and giving it a little polish. I hope you all enjoy this little twist on such an epic and forward thinking tune.

Today is my 30th birthday, and I told myself I’d take some time to reflect on the past years. I don’t think there’s anything overly revealing here, but, as I said, I speak from the heart.

Aging is sneaky—not just in the sense of numbers going up or seeing our bodies change, but in witnessing the shifts around us. We experience new things, watch people and places evolve, move homes, lose loved ones, and adapt to new routines. In a lot of ways, these experiences connect us.

Kobe didn’t let age define him. He always made it happen—no excuses. “Leadership is lonely,” he said. Even when you’re tired, hurt, or feel like giving up, you keep going. That’s what leaders do. That’s discipline.

I don’t think I’m going to have some earth-shattering “Wow, I’m 30” moment. I’ve taken stock of where I am and will keep moving forward. Job’s not finished. Job’s never finished.
