Cripptic is the brainchild of Melbourne based session bass player Ben Cripps. Instrumental music Influenced by 70's and 80's funk/soul/disco with bass heavy grooves and phat beats!

Ben's musical journey began in the Sydney suburb of Sutherland where he discovered his passion for electric bass at the age of 14. He formed a punk/rock band with friends in high school and later played bass for 90's Sony/dancepool pop artist Lisa Maxwell and Radio Freedom after leaving school.

This led to his role as bassist for Australian pop act Human Nature, which took him on numerous national and international tours. During this time, Ben had the privilege of performing with Motown legends Smokey Robinson and Mary Wilson (The Supremes) during a 4-month residency in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Ben's career also includes touring and recording with a host of legendary Australian acts such as Bachelor Girl, Kate Ceberano, Tina Arena, David Campbell, Paul Gray, iOTA, Emma Pask, Pee Wee Ferris, Paul Mac, Ross Wilson, Paulini Curuenavuli, Baby Animals, Jimmy Barnes, Jon Stevens, Richard Clapton and Ian Moss.
