Mathias D. Clain is an artist living in the west of Flanders, Belgium. Autodidact and uses mainly modular synthesizers to sculpt sounds, combined with other acoustic and electronic instruments. His music often is rooted from soundscapes that is leaning partly towards Post-Folk music, introduces the TR-909 often, slightly amorphous and on the other hand some eerie sounds may be introduced as well in more experimental works, usually from the instrument called ‘The Waterphone’ or bowed string instruments. Generally speaking, Mathias has a passion for droning with thoughts on medievalism and even some contemporary jazz in some way and as last, a minimalist approach on creating with freedom and improvisation. Designs and builds own instruments occassionally. Mathias has built so far a bronze/copper waterphone called ‘The Horror Waterphone’ and a wooden string instrument with harpsicord strings called ‘The Violin Harp’. Born 1984.

Galway based MEJMI is originally trained in classical music, but she has been making a name for herself recently as she’s moved her musical prowess into a the darker territories of minimalistic techno. Her distinct 90’s inspired sound draws influence from acid to rave and is focussed on paying respect to the routes on dance music culture.

MEJMI has garnered a solid reputation for rocking dancefloors in recent times. The young DJ has recently found herself playing on the Polish circuit on both a club and festival level. She has headlined at the slutty virgin festival and K-fest in Kerry and made appearances country wide playing for Cheek Eire, Blue Print Festival, Kriptik , 3ip.ka, Prospekt, Dv8, Electric picnic as well as more gigs forthcoming.
