I'd like to pay tribute to Talemates, a new and exciting project created by Anton Kisilishin and Dmitrii Porunov, who are based in Russia. 

Although there isn't much information available about how they started the project, I discovered them when I came across Amonita's remix of one of their tracks. 

Their music has a unique and fresh style that sets them apart from other artists. I highly recommend checking them out and leaving a comment if you enjoy my mix.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin : Yang label concept, musical discourse is brought to life through the meticulous choices of Tripp Baronner – DJ, curator and full-time member of the Proton team. Presenting “Dialectics,” a monthly show airs on Proton Radio and DI.fm showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse.

A gorgeous night in Soho to celebrate Bradley. Bradley and Rachel have been such big supporters of my musical journey over the past year, and it was a pleasure to join them in New York to celebrate his birthday. Reflecting on it, this one just flowed really nicely. An exercise in energetic management, weaving in and out of some deeper dance floor moments and intertwining nostalgia and a darker evolution as the night progressed. I appreciated the feedback on this evolution as it was happening and thereafter. Worth noting, It was fascinating to prepare for as I wasn't sure where I'd be starting energetically after the previous artist, and ultimately I think this made the set more interesting. Chloe definitely influenced me in this regard. Also quite happy to play music from a few artists I've been enjoying that just haven't found the moment to come out yet, particularly Josh Caffe. This is hands down my favorite set all around thus far. Thanks for listening! 

I ended up playing from 12:45-4am. I've included 2 tracks b2b with Jason Douglas at the close as well. Thanks to you both for the opportunity to share music with so many people I love. Happy Birthday Bradley!

Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 2,000+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity. 

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form. Each release will provide a single remix of an existing Proton roster track for two inextricably linked labels in the form of a light (Yang) and dark (Yin) edition. Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.

Curious. Born and raised in New York City, last decade in San Francisco. Frequent travels and time spent in community tend to inspire me most.

My musical perspective began via an extensive exploration of the cello and tenor sax earlier in life. Occasional aspiring pianist. I really enjoy studio time as well as an engineer and artist.

My personal journey with electronic music started with early teenage forays to Twilo in the 90s and the more esoteric early 2000s NY house scene. Rediscovery of this love in 2010 after a move west led to a decade spent focused on audio engineering and time spent amidst the Robot Heart community celebrating love & beats, and participating in the creation of magical experiences on the playa and beyond. 

As of late 2021, thanks to a push from my dear friend John Dill, I’ve been expressing myself primarily via DJing (vinyl & digital). Performances in San Francisco, New York, Mexico, Ibiza, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Costa Rica, India and at Burning Man have been an honor and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey.

Dj & Producer Kurt Kjergaard comes from the north of Germany. 
Its versatility is impressive: from Techno to Progressive from Melodic House to Indie Dance , he has everything under control.

Kurt started Djing in the 90s and has played in various Clubs in Germany.

He produces himself and has already made remixes for other artists. But he has already released tracks on many other labels.

a new track in collaboration with producer Kay - Chi is already ready for this year...

with his mix series Outside The Box, KK Presents... and his new series Indie Dance Selected & Mixed and The Mix Series on Soundcloud... where Kurt of course also publishes his own mixes...

This is how Kurt made a name for himself in the scene... and made very good contacts with well-known DJs and producers.

A new milestone for Kurt this year was being one of the top 3 artists at the Big City Gig in Dortmund

and there is good news at the end...
