In the third part of our mini-series called "Liberation Theologies" we talk to rabbis, authors and organisers Ariana Katz and Jessica Rosenberg. Although the idea od liberation lies at the very core of Judaism, the question about the possible meanings of the Jewish liberation theology is a very complex one. Ariana and Jessica take us through their reflections on the subject. We also discuss their magnificent book "For Times Such as These: A Radical's Gudie to the Jewish Year" (Wayne University Press, 2024) in which they propose a certain interpretation of Jewish spiritual practice, empathy and community-building and connect it to numerous contemporary struggles: anti-racist, ecological, feminist and gender-related, anti-colonial an anti-Zionist while not falling into the trap of ideological superficiality.

Hey there. I'm Omar Francis aka Redd Split. From time to time, I produce and write chiptune music, mostly fused with jazz. By combining the bright tones of electronic 8-bit music with the improvisation, chord progressions and rhythms of Funk and some fusion, I am able to develop and a style of music that isn't very common or even heard of. I hope by posting my music on here not only will I gain more followers and likes (wouldn't mind that actually), but people will also enjoy my tracks and feel at least inspired to pursue and make music themselves. For me, music is not only just a way of personal self-expression, but a tool for improving the world around you on whether that be on the micro level by encouraging a child to his or her first music lesson as a potential outlet for them to inspiring or motivating large numbers of people.
