High Tea Lecture in conjunction with the Magritte Exhibition 2024, presented by Lizzy Marshall on Saturday 30 November. 

Join lecturer Lizzy Marshall as she delves into the surreal world of René Magritte and explores how the artist challenges our perceptions of reality by combining images of ordinary objects with witty texts. 

Inspired by English poet and novelist Lewis Carroll, Marshall will take you on a journey where visuals and language interrupt one another and demonstrate how easily meaning can be turned upside down.

Lizzy Marshall is an independent curator, writer and sessional academic at the University of New South Wales School of Art & Design. She has held curatorial positions at the National Gallery of Ireland and the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin.
