A collection of pieces about different places. This project started out as an exploration into the Locrian mode - hence the title - though I never found anything worthy in that mode itself; every path I started on ended up in one of the other modes in the same key.

Hypnos' Prelude, named after the Greek god of sleep, explores the mysterious D Locrian mode. Inspired by the ancient Locrians, this track highlights the scale's tense and unstable qualities, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Through improvisation on Guitar and Seaboard, it evokes a sense of mystery and reflection. The piece captures the melancholy and unresolved nature of the Locrian mode, blending elements of ancient culture with modern music.

For my video game! I was specifically inspired by a "Make Locrian sound good" challenge by Adam Neely where a pianist and composer named Nahre Sol developed one of the most whimsically, haunting tracks I've ever heard "Sifting." So I've been studying composition to make my own version of that piece and I am very proud of the results! Like you have no idea. Thanks Nahre for the endless amounts of inspiration from such a tiny track.

My mixing is so bad I still don't really have any idea what I'm doing. There's a mix of things you have to account for when you mix. You have to account for the listening environment that someone might hear the song on. For instance, someone might be listening in their car with those cheap speakers car manufactures put in. Or alternatively you could listen to it through phone speakers. Or headphones, earbuds, the list goes on. I usually mix on two Yamaha HS-8s but I don't really follow spatial law for where I place them. (In fact there's a TV between me and my right speaker! What?!) Anyway I try my best but often I use too much saturation or stereo panning and it creates grit in masters. Whatever, I'm the Naïve Composer I can do what I want.

The last mode to get a track for itself is also the scariest, spookiest, fearfull one, the locrian mode. Don't run away, this track is indeed dark, but I opted for groovier type of pace for the song so it doesn't bore you to death lol.

In my studio, I bring tracks to life in Logic Pro, carefully engineering each sound to balance sonic clarity with emotional storytelling.

My work stems from the conviction that creative ideas, when thoughtfully cultivated, illuminate paths to truth and deeper understanding of life. My musical explorations reflect both personal discoveries and a collective aspiration toward goodness, spiritual and cultural enrichment of humanity throughout its millennia-long history.
