Welcome to Jazzy - No Bad Vibes (Saint Sé Dub 12)

Irish music sensation Jazzy released her Afro House track ‘No Bad Vibes’ in conjunction with U.K. based DJ/Producer Kilimanjaro in Q4 of 2024 and it was treated to another edition with the addition of Jayda G at the turn of the new year!

In a recent social media post, Jazzy released the acapella vocal to the hit and invited ‘the world’ to come and give it a remix!

Enter Saint Sé… a London based DJ/Producer who’s flavour is centred very much around uplifting dance, laden with classic house pianos, gritty, yet soulful bass lines and the iconic drum sounds which shaped a scene way back when! A tale of two eras, he initially started out as a hobby DJ in the late 90’s when the U.K. Garage scene was at its absolute peak in and around the nation's capital city. After 6 years however, he decided to (reluctantly!) shelve his passion to pursue other careers but came back with a bang in 2022 after an 18 year hiatus. Saint Sé is now a full time DJ and recently stated that 2026 will see his debut releases as a production artist.

The ‘No Bad Vibes’ remix opportunity has come as a bit of a fun ‘out of the blue’ project and one that serves as both a great educational experience coupled with his first dip into the world of releasing!

The track has been remixed in true ‘dub’ style with chopped up stabs of the original vocal mixed with its iconic full length passages. Saint Sé has thrown his own musical spin on affairs, but has also kept an element of its melodic roots. Old school sampled drums (through an SP1200) can really be felt throughout as they deliver a crunch and grit like no other! The famous Korg M1 is the star of the show (apart from Jazzy that is!!) delivering the iconic sounds of the Organ bass and 90’s style piano chords. The real defining aspect comes with the use of various traditional Irish instruments such as the harp, a bodhran drum, a flute and mandolin. Saint Sé has 2/3 of his family roots firmly set in Ireland and wanted to showcase some of its proud history and heritage to also compliment the roots of Jazzy!

Kevin McDaid is an Irish house producer and DJ from Cork. He has been releasing tracks since 2021, and his music is influenced by the likes of MK, Belters Only, and Seamus D.

In early 2023 after consistently posting track after track, he had his first independent release My Lovin' go viral everywhere, especially on TikTok, Spotify and Soundcloud. Now on all his releases, he has amassed over 10 million streams on all platforms.

He made his home debut gig at the start of 2024, warming up for NewEra in Cyprus Avenue.
