Born and bred New Yorker Jean Pierre is stepping out with his own brand new label, Pakate. The vinyl-only outlet kicks off with a fantastic first EP from FLETCH featuring remixes from Pierre himself and Franco Cinelli.

This exciting new label will be an outlet for Jean and other friends to serve up mature and minimal sounds focused around unique designs and powerful grooves. Dealing in heady underground sounds that also work on larger dance floors, the label comes after Pierre has spent 15 years entrenched in the electronic scene. This is his way to carefully curate his own music exactly how he wants to, with three releases already lined up for 2021.

The first one is from FLETCH, a red hot UK talent who has released on the likes of Kaluki and Whippin’ Records. His opening tune 'Actin Up' is a slick and slippery minimal groove with real depth and freaky sound designs that make it pop. 'Want Me' then hits harder, with loopy house drums and squelchy synths all bubbling away beneath soulful female vocal sounds and cosmic synths.

The first fine remix is from France Cinelli who takes 'Actin Up' super deep, with punching kicks and rolling bass that gets you in a state of hypnosis., Closing out the package is a Jean Pierre remix of 'Want Me' that shows off his ability to lay down stripped back but compelling house grooves with deft sound design and a freaky atmosphere.

After 15 years of releasing on the most influential labels in the electronic world, Jean Pierre is now branching out with his own essential new label, Pakate. Sure to become a home for forward-thinking and mature minimal sounds, it kicks off with a vinyl-only EP from FLETCH with two more already lined up for 2021.

Born and bred in New York but now based in Miami, Jean Pierre has been an underground mainstay for many years. His always fresh and innovative sounds come laden with real emotion and join the dots between house and techno. They have come on vital labels such as Play It Say It, Cuttin Headz, Desolat and Hot Creations, and last year he put out an essential Bandcamp album of thrilling original tunes. 

Jean is starting this label in order to release the sort of music that he feels closest to right now. After many years of working with high-level imprints, he is looking to maintain some consistency in terms of sonic output - both his own and that which he carefully A&Rs from others. 

Says Jean, "One of the most rewarding parts of operating a label is being hands-on with the release schedule and it gives me an outlet to highlight up-and-coming artists that I feel are putting out very high-quality records. We intend to stick with a less commercial vibe with our record selection but they will still be able to be played and received well on the big dance floors."

Pakate doesn't have an exact definition, instead, it will become a synonym for high-class club music that is more mature and minimal with unique sound placement and powerful grooves. If there is one word that could collectively describe the talented DJ/Producer Jean Pierre (Hot Creations, Cuttin' Headz), it is passion. Born and raised in the concrete jungle of New York City, this "Borough Beatman" from Queens has done nothing but live and breathe music for over fifteen years. And he has no intention of stopping it right now. Coming off a stellar 2022 which has seen him playing in some of the biggest venues in the world, including Space Miami, BPM Festival, and Buena Vida Festival, not to mention Ibiza shows at renowned clubs like Hi, Space, Pacha, Privilege, and Amnesia, this year is looking even brighter for Jean Pierre, as he's about to make his first appearance at Printworks, SXM Festival, plus a welcome homecoming to Sunwaves Festival in Romania. 

Jean has always been focused on finding unique records that transform his sets into riveting musical journeys, fusing house and groovy percussive patterns with the more modern minimal and techno sonorities, giving life to a unique sound also thanks to both his NYC upbringing and his Colombian roots, he has successfully created a unique style also influenced by the factors of his multi-cultural upbringing. His background, mixed with a two-year experience working at "Halcyon" - Brooklyn's legendary vinyl shop - truly helped him define and sharpen his musical taste, now finally mature and well-defined. His hard work and dedication in the studio led to recent releases on industry-leading imprints such as Hot Creations, Cuttin' Headz, Desolat, Mindshake, and Defected, to name a few. Jean Pierre has thus garnered industry-wide support with his driving and powerhouse sound, making himself one of the hottest names to watch in the electronic house music panorama.

 With her productions and sessions is increasingly a focal point for the new generations as well as being inspiring many.
Since 2011 she has tried to show that passion and perseverance are key to being  part of one of the most influential movements in the world, art and music are the engine that drives Brenda M to be what she is today. The sound that distinguishes her has been House music and although over the years has evolved is still present and constant.
Her beginnings in DJs Manuel Miller school and her rapid growth through the years have served to have been present in the best events in the country like the Dominicana Moda, Desalia, Warm up for the famous Nervo Twins, many other varied presentations throughout the area and recently shared cabin with high world renowned DJs such as Sandra Collins and Sonic Future. Besides the many interviews in the most recognized programs of Radio, TV, magazines and newspapers in the country, all this dedication they've taken to get much recognition achieving have entered the Rank # 6 of top 30 of the most important Radio station in the capital of the Dominican Republic for the Remix to "Doob - Put on your Seatbelt."
One of the strongest roles for a current dj is to be a music producer, is why Brenda M since her inception has focused on this so that from his 23 years has had the pleasure to be part of various international and national record labels and in turn she has created his own label called Breathtaking Sounds.
Her experience made her be part of the most iconic movement of the Dominican Republic on events, difussion, promotion and production of underground dance music.
Dr Soleado; is certainly a project that has taken the real meaning of what our art is since 2010 by the hands of its creator Luk Follin in the country's most important tourist destination: Punta Cana.

In December 2014 becomes resident of Gabi Beach, Paradisus Palma Real and is projected onto the scene as one of the few female figures currently present and in turn the only producer of its kind. This course continues his career as a resident of the first underground music club in the country: Vibe Club Punta Cana with his fellows Luk Follin, Felipe Alemais and Caribbean Zoul , plus residences in Chic Punta Cana, Huracan Café and Pearl Punta Cana.
