Joca got inspired to DJ after listening to Armin Van Buuren’s Essential Mix in 2003. Having been listening to Trance since 2000 and the likes of Tiesto, Armin and Ferry Corsten, he wanted to play the trance they did to his local trance lovers. Within a year he secured his first gig playing melodic and uplifting trance and progressive house. For seven years he was a stable in Victoria and Vancouver trance and progressive house scene having played alongside Sharam, Andy Moor and Ferry Corsten. After some time off he’s returned to DJ’ing with his Chasing The Vibe mix series on Beach Radio. His sound has matured into melodic deep and progressive house thanks to countless hours listening to his DJ influencers Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Cid INC. His mixes are sure to take you on a journey of deep, melodic and progressive house music.

This instrumental album is dark, mystical, epochal, crazy and a little hopeful.... Nature strikes back and takes back everything that was taken from it.

I was hugely inspired by the music of Hildur Guðnadóttir, who became known through her soundtrack for the TV series Chernobyl and The Joker. This music is perfectly produced but also minimalist and overwhelming.

The special thing about my album "Blackout Pulse" is that all the songs were produced with synthesizers. Many songs have the same sound, the same structured order. It is a concept album that allows this. I wrote and produced "Blackout Pulse" within 3 months. The recording process as a whole was very laid back, I recorded some songs on my couch, some in a hotel room in Karlovy Vary. Everything around me influenced me enormously and I wanted to let my inner self flow into the album even more.

You are not used to this kind of music from me. Not everyone will like it and I don't know yet whether I have really created something good with it. But there will be another album of this kind, it will be more mature and I will take your opinions and ratings into account because it is for a new musical field.

All songs will be released as singles over the next few weeks.

Encyclopedia was founded in 2021. Since its creation, the artistic direction has been driven by the design and creation of visual and musical supports. Encyclopedia's activity is mainly focused on the promotion and distribution of DJ artists in the world of progressive house Organic House & Progressive. In three years, more than 250 artists have emerged, totaling more than 600 mixes around the world (England, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Israel, Turkey, etc.) and great artists of Progressive House and Progressive.

Encyclopedia also deploys a wide range of artistic interventions, which aim to share the different facets and singularities of our concept.
