An incomparable rendering of the Teachings of Jesus of Galilee, revealing Jesus as a great Spiritual Realizer in the ancient global tradition of Spiritual Transmission. A distillation of the New Testament Gospels, rendered from Avatar Adi Da’s uniquely Free Disposition, this recording illuminates the profound beauty and esoteric nature of the sayings and doings of Jesus.  

In March of 2006, Avatar Adi Da began to create the remarkable rendering that He recites on this CD. In working on the rendering, Avatar Adi Da referred to modern translations of the Gospels (based on the most recent scholarship), as well as the “secret gospel of Mark” (discovered and published by Morton Smith). He also reviewed and reworked His own previous renderings of selected passages from the New Testament.  

Avatar Adi Da’s rendering is directly informed by His own early-life experience of the Christian tradition. As a boy, He attended a Lutheran church—and, in His twenties, Avatar Adi Da attended two Christian seminaries, where He studied Biblical Greek and New Testament translation. As a young man, Avatar Adi Da also went through a period of profound Christian mystical revelations (described by Him in The Knee of Listening), as part of the spontaneously unfolding process by which He became experientially aware of the realities underlying all Spiritual paths. These visionary experiences revealed the esoteric nature of Christianity to Adi Da Samraj, which He describes in chapter 25 of this rendering.  

However, Avatar Adi Da did not merely make a translation as one deeply familiar with the Christian tradition—nor as academic, philosopher, or religious scholar. Rather, He renders this Gospel as Realizer, “locating” the core exoteric and esoteric Truths in the New Testament by virtue of His own Divinely Enlightened State. Adi Da communicates the moral and Spiritual Teachings of Jesus of Galilee in a straightforward manner, revealing the depth of Jesus’s authenticity as a great Realizer, in continuity with the ancient esoteric tradition of Spiritual Transmission-Masters.  

This rendering became the “seed” for The Pneumaton, Avatar Adi Da’s consummate communication on the devotional and Spiritual traditions of humankind, and His unique Revelation of His own Way of Transcendental Spirituality. On May 28, 2006, Avatar Adi Da offered this recitation at His sacred Hermitage in the Fiji Islands. Avatar Adi Da brings breathtaking clarity to the profound compassion, sheer beauty, and esoteric calling of Jesus’s life and teaching. Avatar Adi Da simply draws His listeners beyond thinking, interpreting, and speculation—into the very heart of Jesus of Galilee’s demonstration of Spiritual Transmission and his call to receive the Divine Spirit with every breath.
