I am choosing to release our second episode shortly after our first in honor of my Brother, Kien Netic Elon Gallwey Grant Wisdom. 

This podcast was actually conceptualized over two years ago at the height of the pandemic. This inevitably granted me — during a time of collective severance — the opportunity and time to have conversations with family members and explore this idea I wanted to build on with process. 

This episode is one of the early displays of this concept I was playing with. It’s not structured, more of a banter between two brothers who enjoy each other's perspective. My brother being my best friend makes it easy for me to always want to hear his perspective. 

He is, in fact, a truth-teller, tastemaker, seeker, disruptor, a free-thinker…wisdom in bodily form for so many. 

To label him would only limit. For his body was always trying to play catch up to his spirit. 

This is a conversation between two brothers reflecting on our mutual foundations that have forged different paths on the same journey. We talk about his life's processes and personal philosophies that were foundational in shaping who he is as a man. 

My convos with my brother are second to none and I’m appreciative of every thought we share together. I’m fortunate and grateful to have been able to share this time and space with you. My guy. Always.

Béa Gonzalez is a writer, lecturer, and educator. Her first two novels were published in Canada by HarperCollins and seven other countries [the UK, USA, Spain, Germany, Holland and Serbia]. Her second novel, The Mapmaker's Opera, was adapted into a musical by Kevin Purcell which was featured at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She is also the founder of SophiaCycles, a project aimed at teaching metaphorical thinking through an examination of classical works, fairy tales and myths and can be found on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram @sophiacycles. Invocation is her third novel.
