Seit gut zwei Jahren präsentieren wir euch Woche für Woche verschiedene Schweizer Künstlerinnen und Künstler in unserem hauseigenen Podcast. Von Basel über Bern bis in die Innerschweiz durften wir schon viele wundervolle Sets geniessen. Nun ist es an der Zeit, auch endlich mal ein Künstlerkollektiv aus dem fast schon kitschig schönen Zug begrüssen zu dürfen. Hierzu mixten uns die beiden Zuger Jungs Ra.pu & Nekow ein anspruchsvolles 58 minütiges Set.

Die zwei DJs und Produzenten konnten besonders in letzter Zeit vermehrt auf sich aufmerksam machen. Mit ihrem eigenen Musiklabel PRISMA Music jagen sie von Event zu Event und durften Ende 2013 zudem ihre erste Veröffentlichung feiern. Ihre Musik zeichnet sich durch perfekt inszenierte Perkussion, treibenden Basslines und düsteren Vocals aus und fesselt seine Hörerschaft im Nullkommanichts.

Für den Mix Nr. 53 müssen wir in diesem Fall eine ganz besondere Warnung herausgeben: schnallt euch an und geniesst eine Stunde verrückt gute Musik!

Marleen Polakowski aka Mimi Marleen (*1990 in Cologne, Germany) is a Techno DJane, Producer, Radio and TV presenter.

“If you don’t go forwards you go backwards“ is the motto of this young emerging talent and in May 2011 she parted with her previous artist name "Mimi Marleen" and has spent time on her new projects and goals.

Her musical passion is Techno: groovy, impulsive, straight forward and partly influenced by rhythmic Tech-House elements. Thanks to Marleens technical prowess and the creative mastery of Traktor, her sets are renowned for their creativity and unique musical style. She plays with 4 decks all in all with the aid of 2 midi-controllers to enable a creative and individual DJ set. Her aim is to be able to play an Ableton Live-Set.

BIiography

At the early age of 14, Marleen Polakowski discovered her passion for electronic music. In 2004 she started to practice mixing vinyl with her DJ friends and was unstoppable ever since.

In 2006 she went to Australia for nearly 2 years to network with international contacts in the electronic music industry and to diversify her musical influences. There, she started playing with CDs and she also began to produce her own music with several software sequencers.

In early 2008 she went back to Germany and at 17 started her DJ-career at the legendary “Rheingold” Club (also known as Poison Club) in Duesseldorf.

11th April 2011 she released her first official EP "Confused Flute" at the label "BM Slim" (sublabel of Baile Musik) under her old artist name “Mimi Marleen“. In 2014 she has started again with a few remixes including Patrik Berg’s Hit “Aquamarin” the Berlin label “Fanciful”.

In 2013 she has joined Mike Maaß’s emerging Techno label and agency "Black Circus", that stand for straight and drifty Techno.

Up to this date, the young techno-driven babe is active national as well as international. She has played already in big clubs like Sankeys in Ibiza and Borderline in Switzerland and she is booked by the best clubs in Germany including several clubs in Berlin, Nature One Festival, Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt and Butan Club in Wuppertal to offer the audience an unique techno-highlight.

Logically, promoters started to invite Helga on big festivals like SonneMondSterne (Germany), Fusion (Germany), Global Gathering (UK), Kazantip (Ukraine) and many more. Her gig list grew bigger & bigger, so she eventually played with Richie Hawtin, Mathew Jonson, The Orb, Superpitcher, Swayzak, Steve Bug, Reinhard Voigt, Ellen Allien, The Hacker & other known artists. Russian clubbers recognized in Helga real professional dj who can rock the dancefloor right. Helga releases several mixes, they are rare & highly valuable cd's to have.

Again Helga is professional dj who knows exactly what to do with crowd & doesn't even try to act as a producer. Her mission is to play music in intelligent way, support vinyl & stay true to herself. Amin wurde im Jahre 1993 im schönen Bayern geboren. Seine erste CD nannte sich Futuretrance.
Er hörte sie rauf und runter und entdeckte im Jahre 2010 seine Vorliebe für elektronische Musik und deren Produktion.

Sein bester Freund der damals schon 
seit 4 Jahren regional Musik machte inspirierte ihn dabei immens auch selbst Musik zu mixen.
Anfang 2013 traute er sich dann zum ersten mal an die Decks zugleich hatte seinen ersten Auftritt in der Grinsekatze Müchnchen. 

Mitte 2014 versuchte er sich schliesslich selbst an der Produktion von techno und und blieb stets dabei seine Ideen umzusetzen.

Im Juni 2013 fuhr er auf ein Festival namens „Burning Mountain " kurz darauf entschloss er sich Sowohl Progressive / Psy Trance wie auch Techno vorzutragen.

Bis heute ist er diesen beiden Musikrichtungen stets treu geblieben und hat Auftritte in und um München.

Amin was born 1993 in the lovely Bavaria. His first cd that he heard up and down was Futuretrance.
In the year 2010 he found his passion for the sound and the production of electronic Music.

Back in the days his best friend was already making music in the region since 4 years and inspired him to start mixing music himself. 

Beginning of 2013 he then playesd on the decks during his first performance in the Grinsekatze der Club.  The only real Techno club in Munich.Further down the line in the middle of 2013 he begann to start producing his very own techno sounds.

June 2013 he went to the festival Burning Mountain. shortly after this experience he decided to play techno and Progressive/Psy Trance. 
Up to today his passion for these two music genres is outstanding and he still plays them consequently.

The "Merakey Collective" is a group of Swiss producers dedicated to the production of music for breaking battles. The collective was formed during the 2020 Covid lockdown through an exchange between B-Boy Slimspin from Biel and DJ OB One, with the idea of a "Swiss Allstar Breakbeat Compilation". 

Today, the "Merakey Collective" consists of 8 producers and DJs from Switzerland who specialize in the production and release of music for b-boys and b-girls. Since 2020, they have already released seven projects that have reached a total of over 1 million streams on all streaming platforms. Their songs have been featured on the official soundtrack of the prestigious Battle of the Year breakdance event and DJs have used them at battles from Brazil to Japan.
