The paun ambient series are biannual DJ sets first realized in 2020. Thanks to a diverse selection of featured artists and sub-genres, the series can be considered a study on the ethereal edges of music. @isthispaun is an emerging, Berlin-based producer and DJ.
Their first guest mix comes from @danasonic (they/them), an artist working on the Haldimand Tract (aka Waterloo, ON, Canada). Inspired by the CFRU radio show "Neighbouring Sounds", Dana blends their own field recordings with walrus and weddell seal calls, an aurora borealis folk tale, and music from southern Ontario's underground.
