Boycott, Sanction, and Divest

As I watch in the real world as well as through the various other means what is (and isn't) happening on college campuses across the US and beyond recently, a number of thoughts come to mind that seem worth exploring a bit.

Some Thoughts on the Campus Protests

From an old ‘speak-easy’ in Lancaster, PA, the boys visit the movie “Tombstone”.  Cutter believes this show is a perfect example of when good men finally say, “Enough is Enough”.  The key topic at hand is, at what point are the local communities going to start pushing back, against rogue Anti-Semitic take-overs of University Campuses across the nation ?  We need to come to terms that these plans of submission have been planned for years…all of the clues are there, if you look.

We talk about the continuing catastrophe in Gaza, skewed media reporting that dehumanizes Palestinians and uncritically repeats Israel's claims, and the brutal crackdown against pro-Palestinian student protesters in the United States. We also discuss how weapons made and sold by the U.S. are being used to kill Palestinian civilians. The Safeguard Act would fill some gaps and require the government to determine if U.S. weapons are being used to commit grave human rights violations. If they are, the U.S. 
government would be obligated to stop the sale of weapons.

Media Workers 4 Palestine Podcast – Episode 5

On December 22nd, 2024, in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, students who had been blocking universities across the country for several weeks invited citizens to join them at Slavija Square. The peaceful protest was against the corrupt government and called for accountability for the 15 lives lost on November 1st, when a train station canopy in Novi Sad collapsed due to irresponsible reconstruction management.

Approximately 100,000 people, including myself, attended the protest. The event included 15 minutes of silence in memory of the victims.
