This one actually took me quite a while to complete, which is why I haven't had any uploads lately. For whatever reason, it was very difficult to get going.

OOOOkay, let's talk about The Biolizard. I've spoken nothing about this at all in the time it's been in my files, so this will seem like a whole lot of sound in a small amount of time. Altogether I spent something like 24-36 hours I think to get to where I am total, and it's still not done, but I haven't touched it since July 13th, so I'm uploading what I have and leaving it until further notice. It's a damn shame because it's a relatively bumpin' cover in my opinion, but for some reason my body doesn't wanna touch it with a 10ft pole.

Reasons? I've got 'em (with the first one being the aforementioned sort of visceral, procrastination-inspiring feeling that makes no goddamn sense).
There are a lot of things about the song that are annoyingly layered. For example, not a lot of people realize that the Overdrive scales and the vocals are LAYERED OVER THEMSELVES 3-4 TIMES OVER. It's that and shit like the high-pass filters and things that made me think I might never actually get around to finishing it, which is why I'm caving and uploading what I have already.

Made using moises.ai and Audacity. There are some bits from the vocal track left in, but only the parts that were still present in the other channels anyway, and it doesn't make sense to have it be a worse version of what you're gonna be stuck with anyway. It's like having an arthritic hand vs an arthritic hand with one of the fingers missing.

Today I finally went back and finished the guitars. Then after that I implemented the lyrics, because I realized I could find a way to make space for them. Then it was a bunch of fiddling with both them and some of the BG stuff. Basically, after I finished the geetars I spent most of today fine-tuning the sequence, as it were.
The project file itself was created on June 19th of last year, and that in itself contained an update of the bass line from the FIRST time I tried to cover this song. So, in other words, I've been working to cover this tune since July of 2017 (as seen here https://soundcloud.com/tahutoa2/bibobizzard), albeit with a number of breaks lasting several months each.

Q: Why do I use the Wario Land 4 soundfont to some capacity for so many tracks?
A: Because I love the way it sounds, obviously. Half the reason why I'll start making a MIDI in the first place is that I want to hear what it'd sound like with the Wario Land 4 soundfont.

Wario Land 4 (for pretty much anything, because I love WL4's sound)
OmegaGMGS2 (My go-to soundfont strictly because of how many High Quality out-of-the-way instruments there are)
SGM V2.01 (For when the OmegaGM variations of instruments are lacking)
Touhou (Flute, Saxophones, as well as some Basses and Harpsichord, otherwise same as SGM, where it's to stand in for OmegaGMGS2)
Earthbound (for Overdriven Guitar and other Pokey-related instruments)
Mother 3 (for 8-Bit and Synth stuff, usually)

*Appreciate it; altogether it took me something like 8/9 hours. The first 5/6 to listen, write down what I'm hearing, switch instruments, repeat over 200 times. Then, many months later, go through it all over again, this time to write down the Preset/Sound Bank relationships for each one, because I didn't the first time, and my laziness came back to haunt me once I started fiddling with Polyphone, intending to rename the WL4 presets and make my life easier.
