This is my second album I released under the moniker "where's aaron" after changing it from AiRBORN. I made it during a time of heavy drug usage and exploration of my identity. As the title suggests, it's about needing to do more work on myself and my craft. After coming up with the name and concept from driving around in my old Corolla and seeing the engine light turn on, with those same words that never seemed to go away, I felt that it was a perfect metaphor for my life and my work at the time. This is one of my favorite albums I’ve ever made. I made most of it during Covid since I had a lot of free time. And I feel like it is some of my best work, a point in my creative career, where what I was creating finally sounded like what I wanted to create. It’s short and sweet because brevity is the soul of wit. The track art features me in a mask covered in caution tape- a warning sign to keep your distance because I could be carrying a virus or maybe as a final warning to those that never believed in me.
