'Marche diabolique' from Act 1 of "Faust" by Adolphe Adam (1803-1856), premiered in London in 1833. Never published or recorded. World premiere orchestral realization. Created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer 4.



Adolphe Adam: Faust (1833) – Marche diabolique

The Overture to 'Masaniello' (premiered 12 December 1827) by Michele Carafa (1787-1872). A popular opera in its day (136 performances at the Opéra-Comique in Paris), it was entirely eclipsed by Auber's seminal grand opera on the same subject, 'La Muette de Portici', which premiered fewer than three months later in the same theatre. World premiere orchestral realization using Finale 27 and NotePerformer 4.

Michele Carafa: Masaniello (1827) – Ouverture

A brief yet charming 'Allegretto' for 11 winds by Michele Carafa (1787-1872), composed in 1845 while a teacher at the Paris Conservatory. Prior to his career as an opera composer, Carafa was a lieutenant in Napoleon's army and composed numerous works for wind band ("musique militaire"). Never published or recorded. World premiere digital performance, created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer 4. Scored for flute, 2 oboes, 3 clarinets, cornet, 2 horns and 2 bassoons.

Michele Carafa: Allegretto for wind ensemble (1845)

The Overture to 'Le Planteur' by Hippolyte Monpou (1804-1841), presented for the first time on 1 March 1839 at the Opéra-Comique in Paris. Monpou was a popular songwriter, and among the first to set poetry by Alfred de Musset and Victor Hugo to music. Also a moderately successful opera composer, his use of harmony is described by critics at the time as "bizarre", and by biographers today as "innovative". Still, none of his orchestral works have been recorded. The orchestral realization here is a world premiere, created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer4. Transcribed from the full orchestral score.

Hippolyte Monpou: Le Planteur (1839) – Ouverture

The Overture to 'Les Porcherons' by Albert Grisar (1808-1869), premiered at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 12 January 1850. Grisar was a popular and prolific composer in his day and the immediate precursor of Offenbach, by whom his œuvre was completely overshadowed. The orchestral realization here is a world premiere, created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer4. Transcribed from the full orchestral score.

The Overture to 'L'Auteur mort et vivant' (The Author Dead and Alive) by Ferdinand Hérold (1791-1833), first presented at the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 18 December 1820. A popular composer during his short life, Hérold is mostly remembered for his contributions to the development of ballet music - in particular his ballet 'La Fille mal gardé' - and the overture to the opera 'Zampa'. World premiere recording. Orchestral realization created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer 4. Transcribed from the orchestral score, ca.1820.

The Overture to 'La Fanchonnette' by Louis Clapisson (1808-1866), premiered in Paris at the Théâtre-Lyrique on 1 March 1856.  It was Clapisson's biggest success on the opera stage, with 100 performances during its season. A collector of musical instruments, Clapisson was curator of the Paris Conservatory's collection during his tenure on the faculty. World premiere recording. Orchestral realization created with Finale 27 and NotePerformer4.

Andromeda Sky Force 👽 House Vibin' (Extended Mix)

'On ne s'avise jamais de tout' (You Can't Think of Everything) by Pierre-Alexandre Monsigny (1729-1817) premiered at the original Opéra-Comique in September of 1761, and was chosen to inaugurate the following season when the company merged with the Théàtre-Italien in 1762. Monsigny, along with Grétry and Philidor, is considered a founder of the opéra-comique genre, although this work is designated an 'opéra bouffon'. The Overture is in the form of a Sinfonia, with three distinct sections: an Allegro, followed by an Andante, and finally a Minuet (Presto). Of noble birth but no wealth, Monsigny published anonymously and profited from his scores without public recognition, as it would have been improper for a nobleman to admit to being a musician. Created using Finale 27 and NotePerformer 4.

Flemming Dalum, also know as King of the cut, discovered his musical journey at an early age. An interest based out of curiosity for electronic synthesizer legends emerging while he grew up. With his first synth, the Korg Polysix, a lifelong passion was born. He started playing in bands in 1982, experimenting with electronics and the new world of sounds and possibilities. At the same time he started experimenting with records and discovered a natural talent for mixing and blending synths with records, creating his own unique world of sound. In mind that the CD wasn't invented, neither was the HD recorder, the heart in Flemmings set-up was a simple cassette recorder. An invention that should soon add yet another angle to his musical universe. With snappy skills and imagination, the cassette soon became his most important instrument taking him to the next level. The world of mixing. With sampler, echomachine, decks, synths and a beloved cassette recorder, the first true mixes came out of his studio already in 1983. Mixes with so much detail, soon giving him the legendary name "King of the cut". In the same year, 1983, Flemming stumbled across Koto "Chinese Revenge", a discovery that should soon lead Flemming into a brave new world matching his own, with synths and electronics being the heart of the music. The passion became strong and shortly after the Koto discovery, brought him to his first trip to Milan, Il Discotto, Discomagic, Non-Stop, Merak etc. to investigate the Italo phenomenon in detail. The following years Flemming visited the Italian distributors 11 times which later proves to be one of the major reasons to the fact that he has one of the worlds most complete collections of Italo and Disco. Through the years, the synths has been replaced with computers and equipment matching the urge for mixing. Something that has kept the true Italo spirit alive and made Flemming Dalum a legend in mixing today.
