The touching Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi is perhaps the most famous version of the Stabat Mater, a cycle of songs about Virgin Mary. The final number he wrote when he was on his deathbed (1736). Pergolesi had in fact very dangerous TBC which was caused that he died at the age of 26. I've prayed and sang with Iraqi soldiers; Panamanians; South Koreans; Australian and Brits; Congo, Somalia pirates and Erithea refugees. Music can move a person to laugh, to cry, to get up and dance.
