The first 111 tracks are taken directly from my pal goawayface's Likes list, because that man has exquisite taste in tunes, and as such serves as a fab test audience*. 
From track 112 up until around 125, it's me trying to predict which would end up on his list, which is harder than it sounds, because sometimes he'd throw me a curveball. Yer gonna be goddamn sure that it's a highlight, though, if it's on here.

*Or he did. Fat fuck ghosted me >:( for being a needy cunt, granted :/. but it made me a better person in the long run. I'm still needy don't get me wrong, but I'm less obnoxious now than I was. Doesn't mean I don't still wish he had chosen a method of excommunication besides flat-out stopping ;(

I think this is my favorite song I've done for this little project.
Also, while I know that B.O.B. only has the voice of a cowboy, imagining a song for him with a western leitmotif was too cute to pass up :P

It's Raining Back On Earth

The idea came from when I was thinking about Ganon's laugh from the Zelda II Game Over screen and "Feel Gooderang, Inc." at more or less the same time. I think I did a good job of emulating the "Half Singing, Half Talking" effect for that first part.

I wanted to transcribe this song, so I started doing it. Initially, though, I couldn't get the beat right, and I also had most of the instruments from "Hotel" in use already, so I inserted the background guitar deal, made it match the other notes, and then just kinda did the rest of the song.

I pitched 'Blue Wrath Hotel' up in FL Studio to see if I could get it to match the pitch of the original 'Hotel' background guitar, and I found that it sounded good at +240. Then, I slowed the tempo from 140 to 96 (the tempo of IRSWE), and I liked how THAT sounded too; made for a good combination. Finally, to add to the chillness effect, I removed some of the background guitar's notes. Then, I did a little bit of moving around for the Vives parts. Obviously, most of the instruments were changed to match that of IRSWE; multiple instruments use the Vives instrument, so at certain points, it makes it sound like improv jazz, which is a nice bonus.

By the way, I made the sprite edits you see in the image, if that wasn't obvious.

It annoys me that the guy neglected to include pitch-bending like the original song has-- SynthString 1 has a delayed attack on it that KIND of simulates it though, so he gets a pass. The original definitely sounds a lot fuller than this punk's MIDI though, I had trouble getting it to sound less empty. Got a kick out of writing in the harmony I'd been singing to myself after listening a few times, though. 
The fact that I was able to harmonize with it is the mark of good backing instrument construction, because otherwise I'd TRY to harmonize and sound like shit because I'm a loser like that bombing keyboard class has totally shaken my confidence because it revealed to me how much of a procrastinating weak-willed bastard I am when the going gets tough.

Ko-Waahi | Wario Land 4 + BIONICLE: the Game (GBA)

What's the source? It's a souprise. All you need to know is, for whatever reason, a Mega Man X version of the one bit that anyone actually remembers sounded really dope when I pictured it, so I went ahead and put something together. It was originally at 140bpm, and kept the original's Swing, but it sounded better at 161bpm, and without the swing, sounded truer to MMX's style.

The secret to making the lead overdriven so punchy and rad is something i learned from working with WL4 the guitar solo at the end of crescent moon village has some of its notes scooted up by a few 24ths of a block and boyyyy do those few-too-soon 24ths have a fantastic effect on electric guitars

Fun fact: I originally made it 74bpm because I wanted the "Indoor version" to be a Cleanin' Out My Closet MIDI I got online, initially. However, if that were the case, we wouldn't have the Indoor version I published. ...Maybe COMC will still make an appearance, perhaps as the replacement track for Mystic Lake's CD?

For this song, I wanted to get that sort of swing that Mystic Lake's indoor section has, while at the same time not having to change the actual song itself too much. I think it turned out pretty well, and I think MS did, as well. Edit: in response to JAWF's critique, I altered the swing for the arpeggio, and now it's been rid of that slight awkwardness. Edit 2: updated the mp3 to be the SynthFont version, as not only is it more up-to-date, but the EP also sounds WAY cooler.

I turned on the tv. I picked up the remote. It showed a screen of bill and he said hey hey hey!!! And people were booing why? Why they booing bill? whjen i was a kid, i loved fat albert. but that all changed when i was walking down the street in my usual fat albert walk and saw a vcr tape. it had tape on it that says ‘fat albert lost episode’! oh my gosh i cant even believe how excited i was when i braught this bad boy home. i pressed the play button with my popcorn in hand. teh opening was like the normal hey hey hey its fat albert! but when he poked the screen hered an man go ‘oUCh’ but ithought nothing of it. i ignored it because i grew up with the lovable fat fguy. it started off with the junkyard and rudy and wierd harold and russell and bill and dumn donald and mush mouth and bucky and fat albert! haha. but it was wierd. the gang was like bullying fat albert because he was so fat and i was like they nevre did that before… somethigs going on. rudy was walked up to fat albert and said ‘ur too fat we cant even fit my fist in ur mouth.’. rudy was mean guy but he wasnt that mean i said to myselkf. then mush mouth came up and say hebab fabab abeb, whyb ub sob ubgby? then fat alber ran off the screen and i hered him set up chair and get rope and i was like no fat albert dont do it :((( luckely he was just make his new sled and need chair to reach something and rodpe to tye it tofgether. he wont on the sled and slid down to mudfoot brawn and crashed into him them!! then t-t-the screen turn ed black and fat albert got real close with blood in he eyes and said ‘hey ha ha’ then the crowd cheerd and but they get up on stage and grabbing fat albert and rip him apart! :O bloods and gut spilled onto my floor and i scramed for my mommy because fat alberts neck was snaped and his body was oddly smelly. i put the disk in the ocean and hoped to never see thats disk again
