~A plot twist in music form.~

I made this by isolating and recording each individual track in EbMusEd, then slowly going through each track all the way through, transcribing by ear.  (Interestingly, I did the 8-bit part last.)
Because the Earthbound soundfont doesn't have "Pokey Kick" (not to be confused with Falcon Kick) under the list of included instruments, I sampled the drum directly from the aforementioned isolated track.

I think it came out really well.

I got the original MIDI free with the Crash Bandicoot soundfont, as made by JexuBandicoot (a fellow transcriber on the interwebs). I made a few changes to it, so now it sounds more like the N. Sane Trilogy version (the superior version).

You could call this a really late postmortem contest entry, but really it was just for fun. I have been up far too long working on the thumbnail image.

Oh, by the way, a majority of the notes used here are taken from keno's midi, with some alterations. Everything else (pitch-bending/modulation, drums, velocity/volume bending, etc.) sequenced by me.

I hate to be one of THOSE fuckers but could you please listen to my other stuff, too? I know that I'm being obnoxious and sound like those other hateful bastards, but seriously most of my tracks have approximately 0.00379 times the amount of views this track has. (How did this get so popular in the first place, anyway? Who's that one person who shares everything they like with everyone they know, the ones who are always responsible when anything goes viral? Huh? WHO 'ZIT?!)

Pitched the song up +580 cents on a whim, realized it was in a/the key that matches up with Bad, and as we all know, if there's one soundfont that should always have a few MJ songs under it's belt, it would be Wario Land 4.

Made this MIDI second. The guitar reverb effect was all done by hand, by the way, and believe me, the first 2 seconds of this song are the part I spent the longest trying to get right.

The part where the flutes come in is extremely daunting when you first get to it, but luckily I was able to unravel the different layers and transcribe them. This is the arrangement I think I did the best on, as well as the best of the three MIDIs made thus far.

This is an edit I did of Ulrik Ruud Rostrup's MIDI. The song itself was pitched up by 200 cents (key changes from G to A), then the lead pitched down by 400 (G to Eb). Then some of the notes for said lead were changed to match with the sometimes clashing other key.
Uploading it because I think it makes for a nice remix in and of itself.

When I originally recorded this off of SC using Bandicam I had no idea that I was unintentionally preserving a piece of history. 

While I don't think ECake's reason for destroying his legacy was unsound (glances at pLaNkToLoVaNiA), I do think erasing everything was a shitty thing to do; if everyone associates your name with one thing, *why not take on another name?* Just unsubscribe from notifications for that channel and move on, not telling anyone who you once were after the fact. Hell, that may be what he's done, but if so, he kind of missed the first step there. 

This is a really dope tune in its own right, who gives a fuck that it's based on an Undertale song? If you're encumbered with a bag of treasures, and you've grown to fuckin' hate them, just drop the bag and leave them there, don't DIP IT IN ACID. 

In other news, this upload was re-trimmed to be its original length, from an extension I made that plays the second section twice. Once the ECake Preservation project downloads & posts this file on their page, I'll delete this upload and post said extended version.
