hall of mirrors is a short collection of my first beats, and since i came from my electronic music project Technicalia, I had to manifest my conceptual hunger into this EP. this tape is my response to everyone who disregards sampling as an artform. each of these beats samples 5 different artists who created their own version of the same song. my thought when creating this project was: these jazz artists can create their own version of a song, why can’t beatmakers do too? collectively, the titles of the beats create one sentence explaining the reinvention of this music in the hip-hop approach, and the tape’s titled /hall of mirrors/ since it is looking into different reflections of the same thing. i hope you all spend just a little time to listen to this EP that i’ve been holding close to my heart for a while now, and i hope my statement reaches every person out there who still have prejudices in sampling as an art. 

i’d like to thank everyone who has helped me in this journey. shoutout to @unitedcommonrecords for being awesome people, Pie Tiausas for creating the beautiful artwork, and all my producer friends who have inspired me to start sharing my beats to everyone. you’re all the best.
