After D.Y.A's and Kalyma's collaboration for Solide's eights catalogue number, latter returns solo for the label's latest release, 'Rites EP', a three tracker consisting of two original cuts and a remix. In traditional Kalyma manner and part of his trademark sound the Berlin based producer delivers an excessive drum-influenced EP opener, 'Rites', that signifies its dance floor potential within the first minute and teases with an incisive chord which marks the introduction of the track's coming in subtle key-melody. As the track continues Kalyma sprinkles with accentuated synth-chords that adapt to the overall harmonies and set new auditory stimuli before the track enfolds its full peak-time potential.
Kalyma's second cut, 'Red Man Calypso', comes in an original version and a Whitesquare remix. As the original highlights whizzling and sizzling synth pads that create late summer esthetics over a proper house bassline, Whitesquare's remix approach concentrates on the low frequencies as the Italian producer implements a reduced bassline smoothly supporting the synth-chords which he adapted from the original. Due to the reduction the remix depicts a multi-layered almost paradox atmosphere – buoyant and joyful on the one side, dark and desperate on the other – the listener is torn between but never lost as the beauty and life-affirming vibe prevails.

Drumpoet Community is more than a record label, it's rather a platform for artists to find a home for their personally driven music and taste and express their artistic being. For more than 10 years the Zurich based Drumpoets have contributed various musical creations to the scene, have shaped the local and international nightlife and have given aspiring and well known artists the opportunity to release and develop their personally preferred tracks. The latest contribution to the label comes from All Is Well, who delivers six tracks that result in his 'Fragments EP'. For quite some weeks the EP has gained major support by scene's heavy weights, with good reason. 'Fragments' depicts diverse approaches to electronic music, includes deeper soundscapes and balances melodic elements  so precisely that the different tracks nearly work in any surrounding, in any DJ set. 'Is It (Version 1)'  is no exception. Right from the start 'Is It (Version 1)' scores with its mental synth-melodies that create a hypnotic overall vibe which does not leave any room to escape from its sound-imprisonment.

Scatcity’s label head Skatman debuts his first EP on the collective with ‘Back In The Zukunft’. After a series of appearances on the imprint, the Berlin based producer drops a powerful four tracker that sees the return of Ivory on the rework. 

Opening up with the title track, electric synths frantically riff over a rolling bassline, quickly morphing into a brooding alliance that combine and chug endlessly into the distance. 

With huge support already from Dixon, ‘Psyche’ makes out for a real peak time delivery from Skatman. A melodic synth line hovers effortlessly against a looming range of chords and a chunky bassline, opening its filters slowly as you become submersed deep into its dream like atmosphere.  

Rolling onto the B-side, a percussive groove lays the foundation for ‘Meraki’, as he leaves space for a gentle melody to gradually fill the mix, gathering its intensity as it suddenly morphs into an acidic strike.  

Welcoming back Ivory with, he flips ‘Meraki’ into a much darker and hypnotic charge, rounding off the EP and leaving one last mark on the dancefloor.

Unnayanaa & Irfan Rainy Feat Ibstisam - Taht Min Aini ( You've Fallen From My Eyes )

It's been quite a wait for new &ME material here on Keinemusik. But these two new cuts, adding to our catalogue number KM046, sure have been worth waiting for. The EP starts with The Rapture Pt.II and as the title already suggests, it coherently takes up where his last original material had left us, in a stirred state of sweet, harmony-kissed affection. Known as a virtuoso of sound-details, &ME lives up to that reputation, implementing fine synth-elements and temperately rattling percussions, all conjoined by shimmering layers and, of course, an ultimately heart-melting Piano improvisation that at some point will play along to the rhythm of its synthetic brother to a finale that will leave no crowd untouched.

"Solaris" on the flipside adds indeed a futuristic note to the arrangement, opening up with a broken beat and propelling claps. A cut that, as much as its predecessor, is relying on flow and organic shifts rather than forced and peaktime formatted gimmickry, adding a synth arpeggio, white noise, vocal chants and harmonies in a rather subtle way. Nevertheless, it unfolds a compelling strength to heat the dancefloor gradually through its playtime.

Paul Hazendonk returns on his own Manual Music imprint with the final part of his Signature Series trilogy. Yet again presenting two brand new originals that cross over between various genres within the melodic electronic music spectrum.

First up it's 'Unagi', a massive and intense peak time dance floor bomb that will leave you with the feeling that you've been slapped in the face... in a good way! Paul's trademark arps build up the tension towards a roaring ravey bassline only to revert back to emo mode during the beautiful piano break until it's all systems go again. Proper madness this one!

The accompanying piece 'X Is Forever' is a more heady and intelligent piece. Starting out with a minimalistic arrangement and wobbly bassline, a mysterious vocal gets introduced early on which turns out to be the trademark element of this song. Of course the ever present arps make their introduction as the track gently builds on towards it's climax. A lovely piece of work to end the Signature Series trilogy!

Fresh from hitting their 200th release mark, Sasse's Moodmusic Records returns with the label debut from Rafael Da Cruz. Titled "Rusu", the lead track carries his trademark touch which lives from strong synth patterns lovely embedded in detailed atmospheres that builds up towards a climaxing conclusion. Second track "Serra" is defined by a warmly evolving melody which will leave some uplifting impact on the dance floor.

To complete the package, Lossless head honchos Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb aka SBTH remix main track "Rusu" and turn it into a hypnotizing affair with spiraling and sharply resonating synths. Second remix comes by label boss Sasse himself, who put his hands on "Serra".

Following 2018's first edition, Art Vibes goes into a cold and hypnotic mood for Winter Vibes second volume. We put together an eclectic collection blending deep & progressive grooves.

Starting off this compilation right with ‘Kebenaran’ from ukrainian producer Eternal Moment. The production is a slow and deep track with shamanic-like vocals and plucky sounds. Atmosphere wise, the artist is bringing the listener to a mystical tribal gathering somewhere in India…

Armenian producer Teom makes his debut on Art Vibes with ‘Juto’. It’s fascinating how work has been done on percussions; from the sound design to their layering. It sounds organic and somehow liquid. While the emphasis is not on instruments and melodies, some distinct traditional sounds can be heard in the background and during the break, giving color and value to this timeless composition.

Parisian pianist and producer HaZa is back with ‘Hope’, a melodic pépite building up from a bleak stage to an euphoric, almost joyful harmony. There is no doubt HaZa has succeeded at describing the complex modalities of hope as conceptualized by humans.

Cairo-based British producer Shunus joins the compilation with ‘Ein’ and its gliding sounds. Built on a deep rhythmic section, the track is fresh and catchy. It has just the right amount of swing and grooves, leading naturally to an urge to dance.

Eric Lune, previously producing as Kindred, is an australian artist who is joining Art Vibes with a progressive and melodic piece: Banshee. Unveiling its subtleties with each new listen, Banshee perfectly describes the sound signature of Eric Lune and his new artistic direction.

'Game Field' is the latest craft of french producer Axom. Throughout the track, crazy synth arpeggios and choir like vocals take the lead over charming chord progressions, eventually leading into heavy minimal drops. Orchestration is precise and smartly done, giving depth and context to the piece.

Nomads’ Exit opens with a detuned synth echoing into a big space, setting an authentic scenery. The main arpeggiated synthesizer keeps building up in the background, adopting various patterns and speeds. Its climax is reached during an intense drop where it presents even more morphing and movement.

8-Bit Culprit's 'Artemis' sets a dark and melancholic atmosphere. The indian producer has his own magical way of creating dancefloor oriented tracks, evolving in a melodic and groove heavy techno.
