SHAKTI OIYA

Tainá means ‘star’ in the indigenous language of the Tupi Guarani tribe in Brazil. The project is a special world fusion collaboration between three guiding lights in the music scene: Ina Filip (vocals, bansuri flute), Guillaume Willion (violin, guitar, pedals, loops, tibetan bowls), and DJ Neerav (bass, beats, melodies, fx, and textures).

Together, they weave a tapestry of healing sounds and music that takes you on a journey from the buzzing urban centres and gentle forests of Canada to the primal and eternal jungles of the rain forests of Brazil, where connection with nature reigns supreme.

Ina and Neerav first started performing together creating live music for Yoga at Wanderlust Studio in Montreal. Ina was already creating healing Savasanah style concerts with Guillaume at other locations. Guillaume was also playing at Wanderlust as a solo artist. When the owner of the studio suggested a special show featuring the three musicians, Tainá as a trio was born.
