Tai Verdes creates his own inimitable sound by combining high-spirited hip-hop, vibrant R&B, blissful soul, and much more. Growing up predominantly in Chicago, he instinctually gravitated towards music as a kid and found favorites in local icons such as Chance The Rapper and Kanye West, as well as Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, and 50 Cent. After first recording, producing, and releasing music under the moniker of “tylersemicolon,” he formally established himself as Tai Verdes in 2020. He broke through on an international scale with the gold-certified “Stuck In The Middle,” which achieved a life of its own on TikTok and became one of The New York Times’ “Best Songs of 2020.” It paved the way for his 2021 full-length debut, TV, which yielded the gold-certified “Drugs” and sensational smash “AOK.” The latter notably picked-up 2x Platinum Certification in the U.S. and Canada, as well as a Platinum Certification in Australia. Later in the year, he performed to a crowd of over 35,000 at his first live show on the Lollapalooza Mainstage and sold out his first headline tour in just minutes. 2022 saw him capture another snapshot of his life with HDTV, highlighted by “last day on earth,” “Let’s go to Hell,” and “how deep?” Speaking to his evolution, Rolling Stone praised, “Needless to say, he’s an artist on the rise, and with some of the smoothest tracks going around, his appeal is understandable.” Meanwhile, his prolific virality was highlighted in a study done by The Pudding and Vox. His profile expanded on the road with the “HDTV Tour,” in addition to performances at iconic venues including none other than Madison Square Garden. 


In 2024, Tai enters a new musical era and holds nothing back on his third full-length LP, 4K 


“4K is an X-Ray of who I am right now,” he reveals. “Artistry is my tool for understanding myself, and each album is a period piece. I’m trying to stick close to real emotions and authenticity because that’s what my whole project is based on.” 


Ultimately, Tai’s vision is clearer than ever in 4K. 


“I just want everything to be bleeding edge,” he leaves off. “If I’m getting superpowers from listening, then I know for a fact that someone else will too.”
