Tajja Isen is a twenty-two-year-old singer-songwriter and pianist from Toronto, Canada. In 2009, her piano/vocal demos attracted the attention of two acclaimed British producers, and she spent six weeks in London, England, producing her music with Jon Kelly (Kate Bush, Tori Amos) and Paul "Wix" Wickens (Paul McCartney's musical director.) In addition to the twenty songs that emerged from the London project, Tajja has applied her musicianship to the arranging and self-producing of an EP in Toronto, which is currently being mixed by Jon Kelly in London. Working in the adult contemporary genre, Tajja's jazz-tinged pieces combine observant, incisive lyrics with classic pop melodies. The simple but compelling combination of Tajja and a grand piano has been recognized with a sponsorship by Yamaha Canada, with Yamaha providing grand pianos for both studio sessions and live performances. Also a Gemini Award-winning actor, Tajja has had a professional voice acting career spanning nearly twelve years, starring in such animated productions as Atomic Betty (Betty), Jane and the Dragon (Jane), SuperWhy! (Princess Pea), and The Berenstain Bears (Sister Bear).
