Sunday Sessions #26 w/ Phlage | IN : DEEP Music

After a little hiatus we're back with the AKL DNB MIX SESH! We’re hand-picking selectas from the www.facebook.com/groups/akldnb group to feature on our MIX SESH series hosted on Soundcloud... next up is TakaRat…

At the ripe age of 14 Alex Kacprzak (TakaRat) started his journey into dance music, and at 15 discovered Drum and Bass when he developed a magical connection to the genre, and quickly got stuck in to DJ’ing mates parties, producing his own music and running and promoting a few of his own events!  

Fast forwarding a few years and Alex has been fortunate enough to be mentored by the first lady of DNB - MC Tali, plays regularly up at local independent radio station studio @ Base FM as well as a slew of localised events. TakaRat while one of the youngest talents emerging from the scene has a matured taste and love for the music to match many seniors - definitely one to keep an eye on!

So I had done a mix for AKLDNB a couple weeks ago that was technically good with no mistakes etc.
Then being me..... I accidentally deleted it.  (yes muppet!)
Trying to recreate that mix just wasn't working at all.  
I realized I should just jam out an unplanned mix of shit I really like and most of all have fun.
So this is what came of it.  
A mix that goes over the prescribed 1hr length.  Has a couple wee mistakes, but most of all has vibes and bare badbwoy tunes!
You can tell it's me playing what I love and I'm enjoying it.  And that's really what music is about.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Spin around with ya arms out like a helicopter, skank, shuffle, gunfinger..... Just do what you feel and most of all have fun.

AKLDNB MIX SESH - GETAFIX

The mix I have done includes all my favourite genres of bass music. Start off at 140bpm moving through to Drum and Bass (minute 14:55 is for my ladies), then back to 140. You can expect some heaters and some unexpected tunes, and like many of my sets you can certainly expect some grime thrown in for good measure.

Dan Guidance continues to make a name for himself in the production scene.  The Rhythm of Life EP will further expose the listeners to the magical production skills that he possesses.
