Swavé was recently a featured artist in Miami during music week and left an impact on the city. Moreover, just in 2021 he performed at Nocturnal Wonderland, Goldrush AZ, Exchange LA, Academy LA, and Sound in Hollywood, to name a few. My name is Andrew but I go by Andres. I’m from San Jose, California, but San Francisco is my home away from home. Music has always been a part of my life because of my family’s musical background. As a kid, I was constantly listening to music…like ALL THE TIME. In 2011, I started messing around with a Traktor Pro S4. I did this for about a year and stopped. I dabbled a bit again with DJ’ing on some CDJ’s around 2017 with my good friend Albert Wolff who showed me the ropes before stopping again. At the start of COVID, I invested in a Pioneer XDJ RX2 and some KRK speakers and began teaching myself how to use the controller. When COVID shut the world down, I had a lot of free time and no more excuses. So, I started practicing my mixing and beat mashing.

I am a part of Take a Chance Records aka TAC. I joined TAC in 2021 as A&R, resident DJ, and events manager. I also host events of my own and am constantly looking for new ways to connect with the community.

I’m inspired by old disco house and artists like Walker & Royce, Green Velvet and Michael Bibi (just to name a few). Some of my motivations stem from finding ways to incorporate their sounds into my sets to create my own unique sound. I’m also motivated by the energy of the people when I see them dancing, smiling and just having a good time.

“Friedrich Nietzsche — 'And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.’ Ever since NAPA was a young boy he was called “weird”, “crazy”, and “annoying” because of the love he had for Electronic Dance Music. NAPA understood so deeply that if he could JUST figure out a way to get a certain song on an mp3 player from his home computer (which he probably shouldn’t have been downloading illegal music on) he would ride around town on his bike and feel on top of the world. His very first purchase of any music was Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters And Nice Spirits” Album CD, from Hot Topic (now that’s a deep cut!). The sounds that were completely new and unattractive to mass markets, were the same sounds that made him fall victim to this new wave. It wasn’t just a wave though, this was the beginning of a tsunami of unapologetic synths and kicks that would capture the world and solidify itself as one of the 5 top genres on the planet today (and still climbing). He wanted to give that same feeling he felt as a kid to millions of others, because it was so powerful that it could make you forget everything else around you no mater who or where you are. NAPA had to do something about this as soon as he could, so when he had the freedom and means to afford the tools on his own, NAPA would begin to produce electronic music in 2021. By this time he had moved out of his dubstep faze (like many others) and got heavy into four on the floor beats, aka House Music. His exciting journey in just one year has surprised not only him, but many of his peers as well. In one year NAPA has released 10 original songs, 2 1-hour long mixes, he’s played at 3 official club venues, and has learned so much that he now realizes this is what he wants for the rest of his life. Going to music school in the Bay Area, and not hating every day waking up to go to some class he never cared about, has sped up the learning processes by a lot. Studying every aspect of his business in school has sparked a ton of creativity in him not only to keep pumping out great music that just gets better with every new release, but he’s now taken on the responsibility of wearing many hats unimaginable. From video/editing, to graphic design, website developing, being a digital specialist, promoter, the list goes on and he is ready for the next big step in his career to support him.”

Originally attending Penn State University with all sights set on an engineering STEM route, Labeeb fell in love with electronic music through a uniquely exciting EDM Club on campus. He went on to become president, teaching fellow students how to DJ and organizing events showcasing their new talent. After dj’ing clubs and parties around his Alma Mater, in 2020, Labeeb decided to pursue music production to take his game to the next level. After honing his skills for 3 years, Labeeb welcomed his debut Single ‘A-OH’ September 14th on StoryTime Records, an infusion of latin percussion mixed with a bouncy rhythmic bassline. With many more record signings on the horizon and an insatiable desire to embrace the music industry, Labeeb stock is on the rise for 2024.
