Takeshi Fukushima, better known as Takecha, is an electronic music artist from Shiga, Japan. This producer with tons of experience has been creating music since the 1980s and running the label “Groove with Machine” since 1995. His expertly crafted sound is deep and thoughtfully layered, blending elements of electronic besides ambient music to create a unique and captivating story. From the pulsing rhythms and soaring synths to the immersive melodies and ambient soundscapes, makes it a must-discover to any fan of electronic music.

Takeshi Fukushima aka takecha

80 年代 Kraftwerk や YMO 関連の音楽に触れて 4track MTR 等で多重録音を作成し始める。90 年初期にラジオから流れた寺田創一氏の Sun Shower に衝撃を受けた事が最大のきっかけとなり、このグルーヴ感は一体どのようにして作られているのか模索し始め 95 年に上京。Larry Heard の Sceneries Not Songs Vol. 1 で聴く為のハウスミュージックを覚え、Pal Joey の Loop D Loop でむき出しのハウスグルーヴに感銘を受けた事が最大のきっかけとなり、gwm records としてアナログ盤の自主制作を始める。自身のレーベルにて REE.K 氏、Dub Master X 氏、ヲノサトル氏、寺田創一氏と共作。97 年にサンフランシスコにて Glenn Underground と Boo Williams と共に DJ プレイ。95 年から 2001 年頃までに中目黒 Montage 、大阪 CLUB KARMA 、京都 METRO 等でヲノサトル氏と共に「ルパンナイト」のレジデントを勤めラテンジャズからディープハウスまでプレイする。2010 年に Brawther と出会い、後の 2015 年頃よりヨーロッパで起った 90 年代 Japanese House シーンの再評価に伴い、地元滋賀県で細々と暮らしながらも 90 年代のバイブスを再び蘇らせつつ、近年影響を受けた Mark Fell やネットレーベルの音源に触発されグリッチ音も取り入れる。2016 年 9 月、CD アルバム "takecha Strikes Back" のリリースツアーに NYC ハウスオリジネーター Pal Joey を招聘。2017 年にフランスパリにて Kuniyuki Takahashi 氏と共演。2018 年に LP アルバム "Deep Soundscapes" リリースパーティとしてスゥエーデンストックホルムにて寺田創一氏と共演。

-このミックスはどちらで収録したものですか？
自宅で SL-1200 mk3 と macOS を使って収録しました。Renoise でレコードの楽曲を取り込み Bitwig Studio で編集しました。

-コンセプトがあれば教えてください。
とにかく僕が 90 年代からずっとずっと愛している楽曲を詰め込もうと思いました。コンセプトとしては、ひたすらディープに、ジャジーに、盛り上げるよりも盛り下げること。それぞれが自分のインナーサイドに向き合っていくような感覚。そして永遠に変わることのないパルジョーイミュージックへの愛です。


-最近の活動を教えてください。
6 月には Holic Trax から僕と Tomoki Tamura 氏とのスプリット盤 Kansai EP がリリースされます。7 月 21 日に大阪 Compufunk でライヴ出演します。いままでのライヴの準備と同様に半分以上新しいトラックを用意しました。専ら下手な手癖ですがキーボード演奏の練習をしています。国内でのライヴなので機材を出し惜しみせずにセットを組もうと考えています。

Deep Electronic Music from Shiga, Japan. Takeshi Fukushima aka takecha runs gwm records (groove with machine) since 1995. Deep Loop LP 12" was released in 2014. Other early original 12" and 10" are searchable at discogs with keywords like gwm or takecha or my full name Takeshi Fukushima. My style of the present is using Renoise, Bitwig Studio and some physical synthesizers. But I love to use either macOS or Windows even Linux with many DAWs except ProTools. Important activity listed at gwm.tumblr.com. Private and official releases is on takecha.com as bandcamp. My top social frequency is twitter written in Japanese.
