Take the Stand are a 4 piece alternative rock band from Galway. The band formed in early August 2011 and have seen the band grow rapidly since. Take the Stand's first EP "it's Who You Know" has been described as "a blend of Foo Fighters radio friendly rock and QOTSA snarling stutter." (Chew Your Own Fat) 

Since this release, the band has continued to create their own distinctive style. They have also gained the attentions of many up and down the country playing in many of Ireland's most prestigious venues. 

2012 had been a great year for the band however due to work and personal commitments the band decided to take an indefinite break in Late 2012.  

The Band has Reformed - Octorber 8th 2013 Take the Stand announced their reformation live on Flirt 103.3 FM and performed 3 tracks on the Flirt Live Sessions. Details of Gigs to be announced soon
