It’s our pleasure to introduce, el. (@mightyrecordings) for Apply Pressure Radio episode 017. After connecting with him, learning more about his sound and his journey with music, it was a no brainer to ask him to do a guest feature on APR. Had the opportunity to catch him in LA at the 08/08/25 Beat Cinema event and he did not disappoint. There’s a reason why his reputation in the music community has upheld throughout the years. BIOGRAPHY 
el. is a Phoenix-based beatmaker who has been crafting beats for over 15 years now. In recent years, he’s been featured on a number of notable platforms such as Soulection, BBC Radio 1, and STEEZYASFUCK (a 24/7 radio show most prominently found on YouTube). While some of his biggest influences include the likes of Black Milk, Madlib, and the late-great J Dilla, el. has crafted his own unique sound that is easy to recognize yet hard to duplicate. 

el. is also the co-founder of Pass The Drive (@passthedrive), a collective that was established with Producer/DJ DJ Quezs (@therealproducerdj) back in 2020. On top of crafting beats and visuals to accompany his tracks on social media, el. is also a graphic designer who does the majority of the designs for his music. He recently announced a deluxe version of his 2024 album, BEAM (presented by Ninetofive Records) will be released September 5th under the new title, STILL BEAMIN’. 

In the meantime, el. has decided to give us a collection of beats and songs in his APR episode that takes us on journey into world of BEAM, and the sounds that inspire him. 

“I’m often inspired equally by both my peers and musical idols…so consider this mix an ode to them as well as a soundtrack to listen to before we drop the deluxe…see ya’ll soon.”
