As a relatively fresh face in the Berlin scene, Xpresso Martina has been turning heads and seducing dancefloors with infectious grooves and genre-fluid sets.

Their unique track selection promises a tasteful blend of Synthwave, Italo, New Beat and EBM complemented by cosmic acid basslines and uplifting, progressive House — Effortlessly weaving styles and moods into an atmosphere infused with emotion, evoking feelings of 80s and 90s nostalgia with a modern twist.

Next to holding a residency with EBM and darkwave label Crave Tapes, Xpresso Martina has been running the SUPERNOVA party series with their Berlin based collective R27.

Once upon a time a Palestinian met a Bavarian at a party and discovered they share the same taste in music. This taste covers countless genres, instruments and time periods, but is unified by a fascination with Arab rhythms and the mijwiz, an Arab flute. 
Our sets balance our musical histories and the one sound we want to hear on the dance floor. We take the dance floor on a journey - from the Alps to a Berlin techno rave to a single man playing a concert in the Tunisian Sahara. We’re about destroying boundaries and accepting pluralism. But 
this is not something that any one person can do, so we ask all of you to join our crew of dancers so we can combine all our efforts and spirit to have an unbelievable party.

'Darbuka' / Balout Krew فريق البلوط @ Takura Exile

Jakob Mandler aka Bob (@jakobmandler) ist, seitdem er vor 10 Jahren erleben konnte, was die elektronische Musikszene zu bieten hat, von Groove und Zusammengehörigkeit besessen. Ob auf Disco und House oder auf bouncigem Techno, ihm geht es darum zusammen zu kommen, in Empathie, Umsicht und gemeinsamer Liebe zur Musik. Hauptsache es grooved und die Hüften schwingen.  Im stetigen versuch sich weiterzubilden, entdeckte er nach 5 Jahren Technoplatten sammeln, dass er eine riesige Liebe für die 80er empfindet und gründete 2018 mit seiner Frau das Duo wannadosomething? (@wannadosomething) wo es mehr um Synthesizer-lastigeren Sound geht. 

 Im Techno geht es ihm darum eine Geschichte zu erzählen, indem düstere sehr hypnotische Phasen mit fröhlichen synthi-lastigen Breaks verbunden werden. Manchmal ein bisschen Housig, manchmal scheppernder EBM. Es soll keine Grenzen geben.  Der heutige Mix ist ironischerweise sehr auf trippy und hypnotische Aspekte fokussiert.  Jakob meinte dazu: „Ich wollte mal keinen typischen wild durchwürfelten Mix machen, sondern richtig tief in den Sound reingehen. Ich finde das geht nur wenn man sich mal, wie im Club, ein bisschen länger auf ein Gefühl einlässt.“

Am Freitagmittag oder -morgen (je nachdem) gegen 11:30 Uhr kommen wir zusammen, quatschen über unsere erste Nacht, die Erwartungen an das Festival und spielen ein paar Songs, um den Beginn des Tarmacs bei uns auf Sphere einzuläuten.
Und dann erwartet euch schon ein schönes Programm mit vielen verschiedenen Interviews.
Ab 12 Uhr spricht Saskia mit den Artists Loy Bonheur (Lila Drache), Gili (Sleepless Floor). In dem Gespräch berichten sie von ihrer Arbeit als FLINTA*-Personen in den Kollektivstrukturen der freien Szene.
Daraufhin öffnet sich die Runde und Joshua kommt mit Goldi (II. Reihe) dazu, um gemeinsam über die Kollektivarbeit und die Erfahrungen sowohl auf als auch unabhängig von dem Festival zu sprechen.
Danach spricht Bella mit Vanessa, die die Rapper Dr. Dorax, der noie und den DJ/Produzent Kulmbach Freitagabend auf der Bühne gesanglich supportet. Dabei handelt es sich um ihren ersten Auftritt als Sängerin, das ist natürlich sehr aufregend und darüber sprechen wir!
Nach den Interviews mit den Musiker*innen wird Jan mit den Leuten vom Direct Support sprechen. Dabei geht es um einen solidarischen Umgang mit Geld abseits vom kapitalistischen System, klassistische Strukturen, die durch dieses System entstehen, und welche Verbindung die Arbeit von Direct Support mit Festivals hat.
…Danach werden wir uns zum Schluss noch einmal über den Tag austauschen und uns ins Festivalgetümmel stürzen.

Mystery Kid definitely doesn't fit into any box. This dual-faceted DJ increasingly pushes the BPMs of Dark Disco, navigating amid muscular Italo, spaceship EBM, and mental percussive Techno.
 
After having visited major regional events such as the Made Festival (Rennes) and Astropolis (Brest), she also seduced the promoters of Printemps de Bourges (Bourges), We Love Green 2023 (Paris) and Les Déferlantes Sud de France (Le Bacarès).

Always eager to share, she now has her own show at Disco Suicide (Berlin) and is part of the Radio Vacarme Club (Brussels).
