I can hear the difference. In the first two examples (0:00 - 0:27) it's so obvious the TAL J-8 barey sounds like the hardware version.

No this sounds spot on, I don't what you smoked. Still, giving the synth plug-in a little clean saturation and spatial EQ  with a slight bass and treble boost really helps with the warmth of the sound

I did a little challenge for this one, I used Ableton Live without using any instruments or effects and the free Plugin TAL-NOISEMAKER, from TAL Software that is completely cool. This is a recreation of the 1980s synth powerhouse the Roland Jupiter 8. For years I've salivated over owning one of these vintage beasts. Now at least I can harness the huge sound.
