This mashup centres around the line that struck me hardest "Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you.” These words echo a time in my life when I felt helpless, trying to hold on to someone I cared about who was drifting away physically, emotionally, or mentally. This mashup came from a place of longing, of wanting to freeze time just long enough to fix what was broken, to say what wasn’t said, to keep love from fading.

In this version, I wove together elements that reflect the emotional highs and lows I felt hope, fear, desperation, and deep love. For me, this track isn’t just about a relationship. It’s about loss, mental health, and the fight to keep something meaningful alive when everything around you is falling apart.

It’s me opening a part of my heart I usually keep hidden, and putting it into sound. If you’ve ever felt like you’re silently begging someone or yourself or not to give up, I hope this track speaks to you the way it spoke to me.

This mashup features original audio from “Hold On” by Chord Overstreet & "Volcano" by Safaris. 

I'm incredibly grateful to Chord Overstreet for creating music that resonates so deeply.
