Soul Samadhi is DigiCult's 4th full album to date and continues in the true spirit that defined their music so well, beautiful 'back to the roots' melodies fused together with ethereal female chants and ethnic instruments from the orient. The album stands for a 'coming together' of like-minded souls, on the global dancefloor but also through the forces working together to build this whole story. The match made in heaven that is DigiCult & U-Recken, but also Tropical Bleyage, Spirit Architect, Talamasca and Astral Projection have all been essential in bringing together this epic tale to be told. In the tradition of 'Out Of This World' and 'The Lucid Nation', this 4th album is remarkably 'classic' DigiCult and sets the tone for more to come in 2015.

Raja Ram (born Ronald Rothfield, on December 18, 1941 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian musician and the owner of the UK record label Tip World. Raja Ram left Australia in the 1950s to begin the hippie trail. He returned to Australia later and studied flute at the Melbourne Conservatory. Raja Ram also went to New York in 1965 to study jazz. He was founding member of the band Quintessence in the late 1960s and early 1970s, playing at the first two Glastonbury Festivals (then 'fayres') in 1970 and 1971.
Shortly after, Raja Ram was forced to retire for personal reasons and became a used car salesman.[citation needed] In the 1980s, he decided to return to the music scene as he then became interested in the emerging genre of electronic music. He was one of the first people to make what is today considered psychedelic trance.[citation needed]
Raja Ram formed TIP Records in 1994 with Graham Wood and Ian St. Paul. It soon became one of the most well-known goa trance labels. After the label folded in 1998 Raja Ram then founded Tip World in 1999.
He collaborated with Simon Posford on the Shpongle and The Mystery of the Yeti projects and is a founder of 1200 Micrograms. He often plays the flute on ambient tracks.

A Brief History of Goa Trance, By Talamasca:

The idea to produce this album first came to me when I was just a kid in this scene
back in the late 90s. It has taken me more than two decades to finally make this idea
into a reality.
The idea became a real project in June 2015 when I got the encouragement I needed
to begin for real. I was playing with Astral Projection in Belgium for a Dacru
Records party. I was talking with with Avi and Lior backstage and I mentioned that I
had this idea of making one track that was composed of the best parts of three of my
favourite Astral Projection tracks . They were very excited about the idea and encouraged me to do it.
Three months later in August 2015, I premiered the Astral Projection “tribute” at the Psy-Fi Festival in 
the Netherlands. It tore up the dance floor!
So I decided to make a full album of “tribute tracks” using this formula : I would take 
my favourite tracks from my favourite bands of the golden era of Goa Trance and make 
one track that would capture (and honour) the best sounds, power, spirit and innovation of those original tracks. 
It wasn't easy. I had to recreate everything. I had to put all the tracks into one 
project that was in the same key. And then I had to get the authorization from all 
these amazing artists ( and now friends...) to publish these new tracks I was creating. It was 
a bit dangerous as these tracks represent the history of this music to many fans.
The actual originals of these tracks were hard to pin down. It has been over 20 
years since some of these tracks were released. They were on a variety of different 
labels, and even done under different band names. But more than that, these tracks 
are considered sacred to many in the global Psytrance community. I had to be very 
careful with what I was doing. I was tinkering with the greatest hits by the legends of the genre.
I spent more than a year and a half arranging the elements of each of these tracks. I produced different versions and tested them by playing them at parties. I did NOT want to make "covers" of the tracks that sounded exactly the same as the original.

I had to do this because I LOVE THIS MUSIC ! I loved the challenge of
making a new track from the ideas and creativity of my friends that produced this
life changing music in the first place. And to do it more than once, enough times so
that I had enough tracks for an entire album.
I have worked and reworked each track. I have arranged and rearranged. I have
changed melodies and restructured the new versions until I was satisfied with them
all. I had so much fun making these tracks, that I can only hope you will have the same fun to listen to them !
