We are the only ones who are ultimately responsible for our own well being, regardless of the circumstances of the world and how others effect us. The title of this mix refers to that process that I've been going thru in myself, the female subject in the photo represents me looking inward. *I* must be before anyone else (the ultimate bae ;), for when I take care of myself and my own emotions, I'm one step closer to showing up for my family and the world.

It's been a minute since I put a new DJ Mix online. This one's been brewing for a while and the infectious creative momentum I'm feeling upon my return from @bass-c0ast festival in BC, Canada was the final straw. I feel so nourished after spending some good solid time with all my Canadian homies, new and old. You guys are amazing. It's also dedicated to my new friends in Barcelona, Spain whom I originally curated this track selection for. This one is moody AND rachet. I hope you dig it.

One of Tala's earliest memories is of the endless plain of his father's 64 track mixing board. Just barely tall enough to peak over the edge it seemed like some kind of space ship controls. As it turns out, that thought wasn't far from reality.
