I grew up listening to flips of the Isley Brothers "Between the Sheets" from Biggie's "Big Poppa" to "Nika" by Lil Vicious, but by far my favorite flip was the beat for "Ignorant Sh*t" by Jay-Z. Loyal consumer of Queens Blvd bootlegs I heard the original all Jay-Z version before Beanie was added for the American Gangster soundtrack version. Later on Drake and Lil Wayne dropped 64 bars each on it calling their version "Ignant Sh*t" in a clear attempt to top the original. I never liked any of the bars as much as I liked the beat. I never thought anything as meaningful was happening with the bars as such a beautiful beat called for. So I thought it was a waste. So I went to go do it justice and speak power and truth as almighty God blesses me to do. I tapped Shad as my running mate because he's amazing with the sauce while still maintaining insight and poignancy and love. The result is a cut I think is really important at showing cats how it should be done. And the play on the title is yo all that other nonsense cats was spitting on this gorgeous beat, we ignoring all of that. Nonsense we straight ignore.

Red Apples 45's Couple Of Slices pairs the production of Ray West and the lyrics of the legendary Kool Keith. The original cover illustration by Greg Mac depicts a futuristic pizzeria set in outer space, a perfect setting for the wizard Kool Keith to serve up slices to hungry space travelers. Keith's wizardry intertwines with Ray West's melodies to create a mood of sarcastic romance at the same time setting rappers straight. Proudly recorded in the Bronx, all the writing and concepts were done together in the studio. Mixed with great detail by Phil Moffa at Butcha Sound NYC with features from AG of DITC, Cormega, 3rd Eye & Dyin Breed.

‘TNT’ is the raw, grimy, and honest new collaborative album from Infamous Mobb rapper Big Twins and Los Angeles producer Twiz The Beat Pro, who together form ‘TNT.’

It’s a fitting title given the explosive nature of their album, which slaps listeners upside the head immediately with the grimy, Ras Kass-featured opener, “Bobby Flay.” From there, Twins and Twiz explore various soundscapes and themes, including the darker parts of the gangster life (“Paranoid”), what it’s like to survive in New York (“The Rotten Apple”), and phony rappers making false claims about their come-up (“Take Away The Lies”).
