We premiere a track from the good people at Artaphine, who announce their label debut with a Various Artists compilation, featuring 10 up-and-coming artists or artists they want to help shed some light upon. 

You probably first heard about the Artaphine crew from capturing some of the biggest moments in dance music events on camera, from some of the wildest parties in Europe. If you're even vaguely into techno and on social media, you've 100% watched their club footage. 

The crew also run their Artaphine SoundCloud, premiering tunes and boasting an exceptional mix series, featuring some of the finest underground DJs and producers within the scene. Now, the crew make the step into label music, as they get ready to launch their Artaphine Record label.

The focus of our label is to find that balance to bring more passionate, creative minds to the broader public, as we have always tried by showcasing videos from various events and concerts.

Kicking off the VA, Tom Place creates a soothing mixture of electro and breaks where pads take the centre stage. A squelchy electro baseline is accompanied by warm euphoric pads and funky electro rhythm. The track is suitable for the club but, also works as perfect home listening.

Four Four Premiere: Tom Place - Tearing Down Your Walls [Artaphine Records]

The Warsaw-based DJ and producer deliver four energetic tracks in his brash and sophisticated signature style. The EP opens with the title track 'Rigorous', welcoming us with its brutally massaging kick drum complemented by a dystopian synth theme. Next on the list, 'Draco' is a soundtrack for reisefieber before journeying into the cosmic vacuum. 'Scrupulous' with its Detroit twang delivers a peak-time tool whether it's the beginning or end of the night. Stringent' continues its flight through analog arteries, flowing with high-octane synth sounds, leading to a finale that hides interpretations by Alarico and Cratan.

Poland-based producer - RETHE invites you on an emotional journey through his diverse sound palette with his 4-track EP. The record was made in late 2020, following some difficult and cathartic experiences, which were subconciously transformed into four complex, theatrical works. The key themes are: uncertainty, fear, acceptance and wisdom that comes from not knowing. Distant, echoing intro of the opening track, "Northern Lights", slowly transforms into an increasingly dense narrative, with meticulously crafted breakbeat drums and hazy, textured synths. "Solstice" kicks off with a similar, yet more powerful offbeat groove, which quickly catches fire as other rhythmic elements appear, giving way to its huge, anthemic lead. The track then explodes into a galloping four on the floor overlaid with warm, nostalgic melodies. The title track, "Trust the Process", keeps up the intense energy of its predecessor with its multi-layered groove, dense atmospherics and scream-like sounds. The last track, "Layers of Confusion", filled with thunderous percussion, driving melodies and pads, brings the journey to a conclusion.

23.4 stands for dubtechno. The french producer from northern france has been producing for over 10 years and launched his dub techno project 23.4 in 2020. His productions are very reminiscent of 90s old school dub techno. For Entourage Concept he produced a 4 track EP, very dubby, very raw, an absolutely successful EP that should be part of every dub set.

The title track "Bleu" is fast and driving. With perfectly placed chords and lively drums, it's a fantastic track that you can always add to your mix.

Welcome to 2022 with Bomphcast. To kick things off, a premiere of Chich - X - 010110 (Temudo Remix). 

Naturally, we're big fans of Temudo and the whole Hayes Collective sonic. They're the pressure behind a forceful blend of techno coming from Portugal. 

Temudo's remix takes away some of the grit of Chich's original beat. Temudo replacing it with his signature crunchy percussion and groove. He layers this warped synth line that carries through the track that seeks to hypnotise its listeners into a trance.

The remix is a part of a forthcoming vinyl release on French label Modulhertz. It featurs remixes from Bas Mooy, Nørbak and of course Temudo.
