The Illawarra's Last Pigeon Racer

When Jim was in preschool he asked him mum why he wasn't like the other boys. Born as a female, Jim had always felt like something wasn't quite right. Presenting as a woman until recently Jim has made a social gender transition to present as a male. 

While his social transitions have been somewhat seamless, his acceptance into the Trans community is proving to be a challenge. The 22-year-old student who has just started a new part-time job talks about living as three different versions of himself.

Jim speaks to UOW Multimedia reporter Talissa Bazaz, opening up about his transition and the everyday obstacles he faces as a transgender person.
