🔹Mary J. Oliver
is a poet and novelist who most kindly assisted us at CKCU-FM93.1 | Literary News with the production of this broadcast as a guest editor. Without her profound personal knowledge of the specifically Cornish sphere of literary activities in her country, we could not have produced the show. We’re very thankful to her for all that she has done for us as well as for her fellow poets.-
Professionally trained in the visual arts, Mary J. Oliver took up writing full time ten years ago. Since then her poems have appeared in many periodicals and anthologies in the UK and US. Competitions won include those judged by the Irish poet Paul Muldoon, who won a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the T.S. Eliot Prize, and by the famous poet, novelist and wild-life protection activist Ruth Sophia Padel. Mary J. Oliver’s first book, Jim Neat: The Case of a Young Man Down on His Luck, was published by Seren Books in 2019. In 2017, the original manuscript of Jim Neat was awarded 2nd prize in the New Welsh Writing Memoir Award. Five of the poems from it have been set to music for piano by the composer Judith Bailey. Mary J. Oliver edits ‘Piccolina,’ a poetry newsletter promoting live-poetry events in Cornwall, UK. Pat Sullivan is a 44-year basketball coach - 10 years at the high school level andb34 years at the collegiate level.

His teams won 602 games and he was named Coach-of-the-Year 11 times. He has been inducted into 8 Halls of Fame and received Lifetime Achievement awards from Lewis University, the Joliet, Illinois Chamber of Commerce, and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. The recreation centre at the University of St Francis is named the Pat Sullivan Center.

Pat is the author of two books - Attitude-The Cornerstone of Leadership and Team-Building: From the Bench to the Boardroom.

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- 2021 has already gotten off to a rough start. On the show, we fought through some audio and video issues, plus we had to figure out a new way to stream the show. It wasn't pretty, but somehow we got it all fixed before we had a great guest on the show. 

On today's episode, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are joined by new LA Galaxy Head Coach Greg Vanney. Vanney will discuss some of his thoughts around his coaching style, why he'll be ready for El Trafico, and where he sees areas for improvement on the Galaxy.
