Thirteen times (that’s a lot of times)

This song was an epic collaboration.  I had some vocals left over from a commercial/licensing gig I recorded Mitchy Slick for.  Unfortunately we missed the deadline with his vox, but they were such fire I begged my partner Matt to whip something up around them.  He literally called the sketch "REAL QUICK"-  as in, he wrote the skeleton for me and Shane to work with "real quick".  I sent him back my first try, and he only saved one part...which is now the chorus "ENERGY BRINGS ENERGY LIKE JEWELRY BRINGS ENERGY" is a line from Mitch's verse I just emulated.  The track grew from there....because it's true....ENERGY BRINGS ENERGY.  

Worth A Lot is another line from Mitch's verse.  I marinated on that for a bit, and got me thinking of human life verses all the stuff that people think is important: Status, Gold, Big bank rolls etc.  My verse touches on those that built this framework/ideology.... the kings, royalty and fake gods that deemed they could treat the rest of us like we were the things.....things i believe they hide behind, cuz when you look a man in the eye, I always see they're true WORTH.

I love the line at end of Shanes verse "Dry well last sip, climbing my way out...yeah i passed you on my way out."  I mean,  what's worth more than the last sip in a well?

Worth A Lot Feat. Mitchy Slick

Talking Knots is a London based band unrestricted by genre, formed in 2015 with a shared vision.

Starting from the love of storytelling, their focus is always to explore different avenues and reach new heights. Consisting of rapper/vocalist Syf of Talking knots and producer hennessey_tk, Talking Knots is a blend of different backgrounds; the sum of what was learned from the Rap and Prog Fusion worlds.

After many EPs and Demos, they started working on their first full length album ‘The Last Question’ at the end of 2018 (to be released summer 2021). While working on this album; their music featured on BBC news and in an award winning short film ‘Fabulous’ directed by James Skinner. Talking Knots has already set their sights on their next album which is currently in progress.
