Harmony

Meeting in their GCSE music class, Talking To Amy formed in late 2011, consisting of Matthew Bird (Vocals & Rhythm Guitar), Max Gifford (Lead Guitar) and Tom Symons (Percussion). From the beginning, the group were keen to write and perform as much as possible, leading to small gigs at school and in local pubs. With these small performances, the band gained experience, confidence and inspiration and quickly began to grow as a group. However it was evident as the gigs began to come outside of Andover, the band were missing a key element to their music, a bassist.
 
In late 2012, Josh Pearce (Bass) joined Talking To Amy and since that moment the band has grown dramatically. The new look and new sound of the group has lead them to success in venue across the South of England, in Basingstoke, Winchester, Salisbury and Reading. Their versitility has lead to some of this success. The band has a strong ability to switch from playing loud and electric, to then stripping their sets right back and performing them acoustically for their more intimate shows. Highlights of the bands live performances have been; Andover Carnival 2012, Fairplay finalists 2012, The FaceBar and The Railway.
 
Teamed with the bands love of performing is their great skill at composing. The band entered Anton Road Studio on the 6th April to record their debut single "Harmony" which will soon feature on their upcoming debut EP.
 
The band aim to release their debut EP by the end of Summer, and hope to expand above and beyond the South of England, reaching out to brand new audiences.
